Needle in a Fey Stack broken on Casual?

So I was running through the Feywild quest Needle in a Fey Stack on Casual difficulty (because I wanted to), and THREE TIMES the Deer didn't spawn after killing the Unicorn. I wasted so much time having to reset this quest until I just said screw it and ran it on Normal difficulty instead.

Either this quest is bugged on Casual difficulty or I should buy a lottery ticket with the amount of luck I've saved.

I wonder if you're able to hit so hard relative to it's HP that it bugs the scripting out (as there have been other quests that bug out from hitting a scripted mob too hard).

Yeah, that is a possibility, like at the Air Key in ToEE P1, if you kill the monster too fast there, the reverse gravity never turns on to send you back up. Try hitting it with the Club of the Silver Flame :)

The deer did not spawn for me either! I'm on casual too, and no deer came out of the unicorn AT ALL! I've run around looking for it but there isn't one! Tried it again and took weapon off, used no spells, punched the unicorn 4 times til he died, STILL NO DEER!!!
