I have been trying to farm equipment for a toon I have TRed. Heroic Feywild, Barovia, Sharn ect.

If, for example, I repeat the same missions 2,3....10 times in a row, does the drop rate go down after the first run?

The drop rate for a particular item remains the same no matter how many times you run it, until it goes to Ransack, where it's automatically 0% (zero) for any named items to drop.

Don't farm alone, open an LFM and ask for help pulling. That's your best bet at increasing your chances of an item dropping that you need.

And/or, start a 2nd account, F2P, and apply all the current codes/deals for content. Then you can level up a "partner" for chest pulling (and one you can rely on to give you anything they pull! ;)). (Bards are popular for the pre-quest Buffs they can provide.)

It certainly feels like the drop rate goes down right? It really is disappointing to run entire series on any difficulty and still walk away empty handed. To farm chests to ransack multiple times for nothing but bleeding eyes and repetitious boredom. After a while you feel like a factory assembly line worker. (why does ransack even exists again?)

...and then you collect nuts and berries as a reward for saving the world 10 times a day.

why does ransack even exists again?
Two reasons:

1) To "encourage" players to play different quests.

2) To demonstrate the developers' complete lack of understanding of why people run quests multiple times trying to get the awesome loot comes from that quest. Maybe the devs forgot they added those items?

Devs: "Play our game!"

Players: *Plays DDO how they enjoy it.*

Devs: "No not like that."
