Mass Monster Query (Dev Input Welcomed!)

Good day! I'm a regular editor over on DDO Wiki, where I make a hobby out of hunting down and photographing missing monsters. In recent months, we've managed to get our list of missing monsters down from over 500 to a much smaller number (29 at the last count.) The trouble is, there are a number of cases remaining on the wiki where it really isn't clear where the monster spawns, if in fact it ever spawned at all. I've answered many of these, but there's a small number remaining where I really have no idea. With any luck, however, someone in the community might know something I don't - which is why I've decided to post the remaining problems here in search of an outside opinion.

Without further ado, here are the questions:
* Did any of the following ever spawn in-game? If so, where? Most importantly, are they still around?
** Captain of Shavarath (Horned Devil) - DOES NOT EXIST!
** Slaver (Drow)
** Duergar Bishop (Dwarf) - LOCATED!
** Greater Flame Guardian (Fire Elemental)
** Wzciek Mawr (Ghoul or Wight)
** Sergei von Zarovich (Vampire) - LOCATED!
** Half-Orc Crossbowman (Orc)

* Where can I find the following three missing entries from the Monster Manual? And are they under the correct name?
** Swabby (Human)
** Corrupt Watchman (Human) - LOCATED!
** Failed Experiment (Rat) (not the Zombie) - DOES NOT EXIST!

* And finally, can skeletons in the anniversary party still be named +JustBob?

(Dev input would be especially welcomed here - some of these things are really obscure.)

Not sure if they count for the MM, but the slaver (Drow) would IIRC be in the quest the Lost Thread. I think they are the ones controlling the collared villagers?

Swabbies, I believe is from Crystal Cove.
Dueger (I believe Bishop) is Atraxia quests and wilderness
Hslf-Orc Crossbowmen is Temple of Eleemntal Evil and I belive the greater flame guardian is as well.
Maybe the named Ghoul is an old Mabar or archived Night Revels...not sure.

Rest no idea.

I dooooont think there's any Bishops in either of the Ataraxia quests. Reclamation is all miner-themed mobs, and Sykros' Jewel has Acolytes, but I dont recall there being higher-tier divine Duergar.

Might be something in the wilderness though - but I only recall Duergar at the far corner, by the tower, and I dont remember any Bishops there either, though they may be a rare spawn or something...

I'd guess they were buried somewhere in Relic of a Sovereign Past, though. Or were in there at some point, or intended to be; its a very old quest...

Try not to rely on the wiki. As far as I'm aware, these are mostly guesses as to the monster's locations - I've checked Ataraxia's Haven thoroughly, for instance, and no Duergar Bishops showed up.

As for Sergei von Zarovich, Captain of Shavarath, and Half-Orc Crossbowman, those locations are the ones stated on the wiki, but I can't find them there and their existence seems... doubtful, at best. This is why I've requested dev help - it's easy to confirm a monster exists, but disproving it? That's more difficult.

Try not to rely on the wiki. As far as I'm aware, these are mostly guesses as to the monster's locations - I've checked Ataraxia's Haven thoroughly, for instance, and no Duergar Bishops showed up.

As for Sergei von Zarovich, Captain of Shavarath, and Half-Orc Crossbowman, those locations are the ones stated on the wiki, but I can't find them there and their existence seems... doubtful, at best. This is why I've requested dev help - it's easy to confirm a monster exists, but disproving it? That's more difficult.

Half-Orc Crossbowmen are part 2 before elemental rooms. Like I said I think the greater Flame guardian is the red named in the fire elemental room (not 100%).

Almost certain that the duergar bishop is what spawns if the rare encounter duergar does not spawn in the mine cave. Curious how you got Sergei in your monster manual since he's not an enemy anywhere in the game to my knowledge, as he is simply the NPC that appears in the pond to save Ireena. The boss in that quest is Strahd

In Ataraxia's haven, the cave near entrance to duergar quest spawns either the rare, or duergar bishop.

The Corrupt Watchman will rarely spawn in Vallaki in Land of Barovia. Wandering behind the homes inside the fenced in town you will sometimes encounter a group of Corrupt Guards and Corrupt Watchmen

I shall tick off Duergar Bishop and Corrupt Watchman, check part 2 for Half-Orc Crossbowmen, and go and check the Shroud to see if Arreatrikos still appears in the monster manual like that. (I really don't think Sergei exists as a monster. He isn't in the game files at all.)

I have the rat version of failed experiment as well on my account. If I had to guess maybe Flesh in Necro 4? On way to get key maybe? I only say this because in the manual they look just like a carcass eater.

I do not have half-orc crossbowman but I have the others. I highly suspect that these are orange-named enemies that are actually named something else in the game, like how Rrosp and Gruck in Lost in the Swamp both track as "Earth Elemental" and the 3 wraiths in there with human-sounding names all track as "Swamp Wraith", or all of the different pirates in epic 3BC just track as generic "Pirate XXX" instead of their name.

I have a hunch that perhaps the Greater Flame Guardians are what the North, South, East, and West Flame Guardians in Inferno of the Damned may be tracking as if you run it on Epic difficulty, despite being named the same thing as heroic?

Can you post screenshots of the ones you have? Appearance might be helpful.

The Failed experiment rat is likely within Necropolis, since I haven't exterminated that many - it looks reanimated. Possibly something like Flesh Maker's Laboratory or Tomb of tormented or an encounter.

I doubt it's the Eerie Forest or the newer material after U42. Possibly you could try asking Flimsy nicely...

Given that +NohBob has moved over the years it's quite possible he's now a skeleton. He used to a human for certain several years ago, and looked a little like Avarandi Rivetfingers just repairing something in the corridor towards the Rest rooms.

The skeletons are mostly composed of former DDO Developers' or people that have been on vacation.

I suspect +JustBob might have been a Systems Engineer. Or is actually meant to be +NohBob (https://www.ddo.com/forums/member.php/594473), he might have (had) a misspelt skeleton in-game during 2016. However +NohBob looked alive in 2017; within the 12th Anniversary 2018, he was certainly active as a human scenery decoration.

During the DDO video: Gingerspyce's 12th Anniversary Party tips, picks and walkthrough - Voodu Spyce (March 2, 2018, 32:54. Available at around [24:20 (https://youtu.be/yKFjLFzvwh4?t=1460)]. We can see +NoBob as a human.

Even '+Flimsy Firewood' still had both; his Skeleton and the current Scarecrow, making appearances during the last party.

Ah, good [Post #156] confirms I wasn't seeing things in 2016 when I added [+JustBob] to the list of Skeletons regardless of whether it's a spelling error or not.

I figured out what the "Failed Expiriment" rats are thanks to Lamannia. DPS Test Kobolds count as "Failed Experiments" in the rat monster manual. I'm assuming what these are, are the rare instances where a monster spawn is broken, and a CR 0.25 Kobold spawns in its place, like the 2 spots in Oldstone Hall where this regularly occurs.

I figured out what the "Failed Expiriment" rats are thanks to Lamannia. DPS Test Kobolds count as "Failed Experiments" in the rat monster manual. I'm assuming what these are, are the rare instances where a monster spawn is broken, and a CR 0.25 Kobold spawns in its place, like the 2 spots in Oldstone Hall where this regularly occurs.

I thought they were in the Sharn Docks? Either the first quest or the last one. /shrug
