The title pretty much says it, I came back with 72 points for enhancements and allocated them after researching the changes as best I could. Additionally, I tried to flip my gear around to account for the times, and I think my feats seem to be alright still.

In Hard content, my build feels better than ever and the SLAs for PM make trashing mobs easy. However the core of the build was to have good Necro DCs, and at some of the new content I'm gawking at just how inadequate my build feels now.

For reference, my DCs for necro is 45. What can I do to modernize my build, and what items aren't even worth being slotted anymore and should be replaced? (And if you're feeling especially generous, what are some options for replacement?)

Character Sheet + Enhancements [2 unspent ap]:
https://imgur.com/a/ZZxTF7B

Items:
Head: supreme tyrant green steel helm of mineral
Goggles: Blindness Immunity
Bracers: insightful light resistance 15, con +7
ring 1: +11% neg energy crit, cold absorb 18
ring 2: Int +6
Gloves: Devotion 7, spell lore +6
Belt: Diplomacy +13, natural armor +4
Cloak: Resistances +4
Trinket: shard of xoriat [2 enchant dc and summon clicky]

Armor:
Fearsome robes of magi

Weapons:
+5 thaumatargic sceptre of ice lore 13 [for spellcasting 17, potency 55, nullification 87]
+5 corrosive 89 sceptre of necromancy 3 [for necromancy 3, also has spell penetration 4]

So yeah, my goal is to be a more generally useful wiz pm caster. I'm level 18 holding level 19 with one wizard past life, and I feel lackluster in at-level content. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

you need sharn

you can get a + 8 int +3 int item easily - lenses of the acolyte are a fairly easy item to farm

actually, a lot of items in sharn would be good for you.

you want to look at either the dreadkeeper set, or the eosteric set
the ring of shattered onyx is worth looking at

probably more, but that should get a solid grounding to enter epics.

in epics, look at fens set and sands sets and then borderlands items

that int is pretty low for 18
con seems a little low, but hp seems ok so u can make it work
there is a decent cloak from sharn that drops from wraith callers

Welcome back!

The best gear at that level is going to be from Sharn, and particularly the companion pack "Soul Splitter"

I'd recommend the Dreadkeeper set: https://ddowiki.com/page/Named_item_sets#Dreadkeeper

Black Velvet capelet https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Black_Velvet_Capelet is a nice add-on and easily farmed from a short quest.

https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Black_Satin_Waist can be nice too - craft quality INT onto it. (Or the Concentrated Chaos orb below)

Some other good items:

https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:The_Shattered_Onyx

https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Stygian_Wrath or https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Concentrated_Chaos

https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Macabre_Sceptre from Ravenloft is a decent DC sceptre too.

You want to try to get Insightful and Quality bonuses to your INT as well as the basic Enhancement bonus.

As far as enhancements most people nowdays don't bother with the Archmage tree - especially as you won't be going T5 anyway. Use Eldritch Knight as your secondary tree for extra survivability - the improved mage armour, and shield, etc. You can take up to medium armour proficiency if you want to be a bit tankier too. Take cores for ASF and stuff like deflect arrows.

Good luck!

Yeah, I'll mostly echo what Katalissa said. Your enhancements look good. The problem is you don't have enough bonuses from you gear. Bonuses from gear give DCs both directly and indirectly (from intelligence)

The first thing I would suggest is to get a 3-piece Dreadkeeper gear set. This would be the Dreadkeeper's Robes, Necromancer's Bracers, and Skin-tight Gloves. This will give you 2 intelligence and 1 artifact bonus to DCs among other great bonuses.

Secondly, I'd recommend Intelligence items. I use Black Velvet Capelet for enhancement intelligence and either Stygian Wrath or Shattered Onyx for insightful intelligence. You can also use one item to cover both with either the Acolyte's Lenses or Collective Sight (double int), though I prefer to get double constitution from collective sight.

I also do agree that the Macabre Scepter out of Ravenloft is still relevant. Arcsteel Brim also gives bonuses to DCs as well as to magical resistance.

At 18 best items for pm are necro set lvl 17 (armor+bracer+ gloves) from soulsplitter pack.

Add a crafted 9 int 4 insight full int item... (Google or trinket)
U got ravenloft or sharn expansion?

I am on Orien, and yes the information everyone provided helped a lot. I'm still working on completing some of the objectives, but right now my DC is ~80 with magister and it feels like I can do any at level EH content fairly well now DC wise! I'm still struggling with a few build holes and gathering sources of stacking int that make at-level EE and Er1 content a no go for my DCs though, even temporarily getting my DCs to 86-90 I feel like I'm missing a lot of the time in reaper content. I'll post my updated build based off everyone's feedback and my own learning here in case someone else has a similar start back to their journey in DDO once I identify the holes!

Thank you again for your time!

If u get medium armor for pm (soulsplitter pack) i suggest u to go 46 pm and ek 25 point to get medium armor + int + core4. I usually put 6 point in metamagic quicken (not in other metamagic)

For goggles, farm

Acolyte Lenses in Lost At Sea https://ddowiki.com/page/Lost_at_Sea

or

Dusk Lenses in https://ddowiki.com/page/Thralls_of_the_Fungus_Lord
Dusk Lenses are part of the Esoteric set, and that would be a good alternative set to farm if for some reason you couldn't (or didn't) want to farm Dreadkeeper.

or

Paramnesial Lenses in https://ddowiki.com/page/Memoirs_of_an_Illusory_Larcener
Pansophic Circlet from the same quest would be a good hat for a wizard to wear, too.
