this is a learn to read nub type of situation w/o the insult of it -

please read what he said - he was talking about spells in general, not sorc/wiz.

the issue that people run into, not you as you dont run anything high level, is that they cast a spell like say heal or burst of glacial wrath (its an epic ability so not some you care about) and the spell points are spent but the spell is not cast

There's 4 types of inventory upgrades in the store (personal inventory, bank, shared bank, shared crafting); did you actually not receive the space you bought or did you buy a different type then you thought?

People are looking for user error in a "server ate my gains" situation.

You're not wrong on spells dry-firing. It's a problem, and a rather annoying one.

On the inventory issue, the DDO store will let you buy personal inventory tabs even if you have already purchased the max. In cases like that (or, at least in my case the one time I did it on an alt) it will put an item in your inventory whose name I forget, but it's not coy. If you pass that item to another toon and double click it, it will give your other toon the inventory tab you bought.

It's not unheard of to sometimes mistake the former for the latter. It is even a type of relief to find out that, no, the server didn't rail you, it's something you can fix yourself.

Given the state of in-game help today, it may be that that's the only type of problem that will be fixed.

I agree. I've only noticed it since the change was made (Saltmarsh release), so it feels like it broke it vs. fixed it???

It’s been happening a long time and been posted about a long time.

about the inventory tab, the only thing you can try is quit the game and restart. and by the time i'm writing this, it is already happened. if it's not there is customer support material. wish you luck with that.

about the spells dry-firing, it's becoming a long standing issue along with general lag, i experience lag every game session, hiccups and 1 or 2 seconds freeze are the norm, after saltmarsh even in public area, before was in-quest only, at the point it's hard to understand if it is the spell or "just" the lag. sometimes i see the visual but no effect, sometimes the effect happens, like the damage from a fireball or the instakill\cc, with 1 second delay, sometimes i see no visual not even char animation but the effect proc anyway luckily (this started to happen after the "dryfire fix", but it happens seldom). it's a hot mess. i guess also non-spells skills are sometimes dry-firing cause lag.

and yeah the game is falling apart, also the chat is often wonky and i'm seeing z-fighting textures in so many places. am i the only one? also something i noticed, i started my first ever dragonborn life, maybe it's a dragonborn race thing, but when i hit the rest shrine, often, not always, the rest bar start to fill but the char is not doing the sit down emote, it just do not move, it stands up the whole time. it's a dragonborn bug or the lag is starting to "eat" eveything, "animations procs" too? also that thing i was describing, no casting animation but effect happens, i can't say if it is maybe cause dragonborn or something else, i'm in doubt, i started this life around saltmarsh release\dryfire fix. can't tell what is what, now that i think about it.

Yeah, the inventory slot thing is because of weird behavior in the store. I believe you can buy 3 slots max, but when you buy one, the corresponding "tab" does not disappear from the store unless you reload the store. This could make you think you still have slots available to purchase when you don't.

Best thing to do (and it sucks, I know), is to leave the store after each purchase of an inventory tab, that way you can see what is still available.

Sadly it's noticeably worse. Instead of losing a spell 1 out of 5, it's now like 1 out of 3.

Perhaps you don't play game. It's called dry spells. Every caster I know has been complaining about it as it seems to occur more often than not. It to the point now that SSG doesn't have to nerf casters any further just let dry spelling continue.

Going on cool down resources spent & nothing happens?

Similar thing happens with Ranged firing projectiles

In my experience it feels like something to do with lag & targeting like the game doesn’t keep up with what you have targeted as if it’s still firing at a target that’s already dead but since it’s dead it’s got nothing to target despite having a new target already and fires off into the nothingness hence doing nothing but spending the resources same thing with self targeting for a heal and nothing happens I feel like it’s not keeping up with the target just my observation from my game play and how others I play with describe the situation

Also it’s testable on a boxes outside of combat so should be easy to reproduce the results
Target a box then blast it nothing

Whats skills are you using that use spellpoints??(mana is for wow and diablo players)

also apart is one word. A part of a car would be something completely different!

Oh also every time ive bought anything from the store ive received it so if you lost points id submit a ticket.
