Not buying any new adventure packs until it does. Not flushing away XP for nothing.

Not in 2021, most likely next year with an expansion.

All the current endgame dungeons probably will be good for xp when cap is raised, cause some of those go up to 34lvl dungeon on Elite.

Likely the Destiny revamp coming first because the legendary reincarnation will probably give destiny points or fate points.

Is the cap increase going to raise pre-epic levels so more build options are viable? Or just ten more levels of some epic specialized class....

I actually think the level cap will increase in whatever update the ED revamp is. When they did the ED previews they were very unifinished with regards to the last few cores. I don't think they'll put out the ED trees with a "TBD" in there.

And if they have it all ironed out ED-wise that means the rest is probably done so it can all be pushed out. I just hope they actually preview it like EDs and take feedback and stuff, but my bet is it'll be one of those things that's 99% done by the time it gets to lam and won't be changed much.

I thought it was coming with U51 and the ED pass. We are in August so I think the next update is January 2022? That would also coincide with the next pack they were hinting (talking?) about. Maybe a dev will chime in over the weekend (or they will enjoy the weekend with friends/family and get back to this thread on Monday).

U51 is just the groundwork for it, it won't include the actual cap raise

I hope we get an 11th hour reprieve though, since cap raise is still a SWG NGE level bad idea and the first really existential threat to the games future in many years.

How is it flushing xp away in the meantime though? You won't lose any progress you've earned when either U51 or L32 hits

DDO is choking on XP. If you're intent on not "wasting" XP, then do an epic reincarnation and do 20-30 again.

The latest "Ask the Devs" video on DDO cast indicated that the Level Cap was being pushed as far away as possible, and not part of the Epic Destiny Revamp (which is also being pushed back as well).

i'm not sure how i even feel about a level cap increase. frankly, anyone who wants to gain incremental power can go through the reincarnation treadmill or focus on running raids for raid gear or running quests for drops and/or crafting.

the number of people who have reached full completionist on past-lives has got to be pretty low

just because the convention in MMOs is to raise level caps doesn't mean DDO has to stick to that convention.

one thing i like as a way to slowly push your power limits upward is something like what Diablo 3 does with the paragon system.
