With the updates to the scroll/seal/shard system in U50, there is a method to obtaining the new versions of epic gear using the Legacy Altar of Epic Rituals. Is there any way for me to obtain the new version of some of the heroic level items in a similar matter? I have a heroic Storm (DQ) and would like the new version of it without having to farm the raid over again?

If they put a recipe in for upgrading old heroic items to the newer versions, it'll be on the Stone of Change, so you can try throwing the item in there and see if it upgrades.

IIRC they deliberately did not do this for several of the packs that have had their gear upgraded in recent days, though. I'm pretty sure Carnival and Red Fens and Sentinels you have to go get all the new items again, but they're pretty easy to get.

On the plus side, if you upgrade an old item to epic, it becomes the NEW epic item. So you can upgrade all your old items and go run the packs to get the new heroic ones.

Ya, I tried the Stone of Change as well with no success. Just sucks having to run DQ more for a weapon I only plan to use in heroics. Oh well, guess the legacy version will have to suffice.

DQ now has raid runes like the higher-level raids, so run the raid 13 times tops on EE and you're guaranteed to get the item you want. This is absolutely TRIVIAL to do now that you don't have to run the pre-raid and raid bypass timers actually work. It's an effortless solo on a level 30 geared character. I estimate you could probably do it in 3 hours if you were motivated and had bypass timers.

Didn't know the runes could be used to get the heroic items. If that's the case I probably have enough from all the S/S/S crunching I did. I'll look into that. Thanks!

Currently the raid runes on DQ are bugged. We ran it last night on EE and only one person received runes.

Hmm. I know they're working on fixing the ingredients drops, sands in particular. It seemed like everyone got raid runes when I ran it yesterday (we had, um, 7 people I think?) but I could be wrong. I know I definitely got some myself.

So, yeah, maybe wait until they've got the chest drops fully updated.

Me, I'm just trying to get that @#$! rare to pop in the wilderness so I can pick up an RoSS for my other two characters now that I have an eRoSS on my main. AH NEED SPELL POINTS!!!!!
