The Death Smile Team Cup Championship was introduced by Guild Master Mary during the fourth season of the Hardcore League event, once there were enough Teams to compete for the cup. The winner of the Team Cup will be announced at the end of each season and the winning Team shall keep the Team Cup until it is taken from them in competition by another competing Team.

Players wishing to form teams and compete are encouraged to join the Death Smile Discord and register with Guild Master Mary. Teams for the next Season will begin forming at the conclusion of the existing Season.

The Season winner will be announced at the close of Season. The winner remains the champion and owner of the Cup until is it taken from them by the victory of a competing team. A successful team make defend their ownership of the cup and keep it indefinitely by winning the Championship each season.

So a certain someone/group didn't feel like they got the credit they deserved for their own accomplishments, and wants to tell everyone about all the people they also helped through certain achievements?

I'm starting to regret ever supporting any sort of leaderboard type play.

The Team Cup is a guild award and is separate from the leaderboard. A team could win the Team Cup and not be present on the leaderboards.

The birth of the Team Cup championship arose because during the HCL event Death Smile runs with 1000 unique members - what we see during HCL are teams from the live servers - static teams, that we guild who are going for goals. We had this season a dozen unofficial teams of 2-6 (perhaps more) -

What I am doing is formalizing this into a guild event to encourage good sportsmanship, healthy competition, participation, friendship, and cross-server relations to encourage the growth of the DDO community as a whole by utilizing the guild's unique position to host a friendly Championship amongst the dozens of teams competing in the event.

I understand this forum is largely a troll den - but my post is sincere to encourage anyone who wishes to participate to join the Death Smile Discord and set up a Team for Hardcore League 5.

I think it's a neat idea. The points could perhaps be weighted better, but the concept is cool.

Best of luck to you and thanks for giving HC players a place to conglomerate.

Great idea.

Anything that would spice up the hardcore season is very welcome.
