One of the most tortuous and torturous questions in DDO history comes back with a new iteration I couldnt find an answer for yet :D

The modern version of Deception - what you find on Feywild gear, for instance - procs the 5% chance to bluff, according to the wiki. Is this still accurate, or is the wiki outdated?

If it does, does that still hold true for the Insightful and Quality versions, if you dont have the basic Deception or Improved Deception affix in any of its permutations?

Specifically I'm wondering if Bloodsigil (Q Decep) will be enough to proc SAs, or if I need something like Vinelash and/or Direwolf to proc them. Cant test this myself right now :)

You'd also need fort bypass.
Last epic levels 29+30 I was able to slot all 4 types of deception due to the fey vinelash and rosethorn.
Did not make any notes to see if the sneaks hit or not but what I recall is that you get different rolls for normal and improved.
Oddly only improved now states something about "enveloping in darkness", so not sure if the "bluff" part has fallen off the deception wagon.

Regarding Deception, they don't give the chance at bluffing unless they say they do, so the Bloodsigil won't help there.

Why did the devs use a name of an ability with a different meaning when there was already one for that (Sneak Attack)?

Newer Improved Deception items after release of Thunderholmes are broken.
They don't bluff at all and they have been bug reported many times but the devs don't care to comment about it because they know they're too good.

So....there's no way to proc bluff either way, unless I use a very old deprecated item, then?

Guess that answers the question, anyway :D
