Help me build an alchemist.

So I tried Alchemist when it first came out, and didn't care for it. I found it to be the most confusing class to work with. There is a lot about it I just don't get. The spell list seems arbitrary and seems like its missing things. At any rate, I didnt care for it, but see people playing it and they seem to do well and be having a lot of fun. Ive been looking at it a little closer now, and bombardier looks like it could be fun if built right. Can you veteran players help me build a fun Alchy?

I prefer to go pure with my classes. What feats should I take and what spells are good if I want to be a good nuker? Any equipment you recommend?
