Searched the forums. Lots of information on Mimics and FoM, but I couldn't find the answer to this question.
I'm playing in Hardcore and planning my next build [sad face emoji].

Pretty sure it does not.
I am sure it does not protect you from the sticky in blown deadline.
And to the best of my recollection it does not protect from mimics.

From the wiki:
"This spell enables an ally to move and attack normally for the duration of the spell, even under the influence of magic or conditions that normally impedes movement, such as Entangled, Paralyzed**, or Solid Fog **Earthgrab is no longer a Paralyzed effect, so is no longer cured or prevented by Freedom of Movement."

It definitely does not. As far as I have seen the only solution is killing those guys before they spooge you, even at the risk of being attacked from behind by 20 other mobs

No.
In fact, it doesn't protect against most of the things it's supposed to protect against.

^This. Just doesn't seem like it does enough anymore. Maybe what we need is an Improved or Greater Freedom of Movement as a higher level spell that is a bit less ubiquitous than the basic FoM.

One would think according to the description FoM should protect against sticky traps in blown deadline but doesnt.

Disagree. Players have easy access to FoM these days compared to the past -- whether that be through items or the eternal flask -- and have likely become complacent about those things it still does help with. But my disagreement is more about whether players should have easy access to nullifying every last mob CC/debuff. We already have it pretty good in brushing off most things that most mobs throw at us.
More interesting design would be having specialized items that grant immunity vs certain effects, high tier enhancements that perform a similar role, and stuff like limited use cookies. I will also add that part of the fun and challenge of this Hardcore season has been the mimics, and it's refreshing when the mob does things that are flavorful, meaningful, and threatening all at the same time. It makes overcoming them that much more rewarding.

According to their own description Mimic goo should be covered.

My view is the description should be amended rather than the spell reworked to incorporate this and so many other things. As written, it should probably work vs Earthgrab too. I'm okay with it not doing so.
Yeah, it should say something like "prevents paralysis, slow, snare, and entangle, and grants immunity to slippery surfaces", which is basically what it does.
Stuff it DOESN'T work on:
Dance
Petrification
crippling shot
earthgrab
binding chain
sticky
shock and awe (dragons)
despair (mummies)
Heavy Gravity
drow poison
daze
fascinate
stun
epic webs (which appear to work like Sticky)
Would be a lot more efficient to list what it DOES actually work on.

The question is :

It could also be like ... hm ... well ... naturally ...
