HC rewards disappointed

lastly, I feel like they are a lame reward. won't even show it off for bragging rights. :(

There are a few reasons for that. (I do not necessarily disagree with you)

1. Some folks don't like that everything is cosmetic.
2. Developers have many 'irons' in the fire and can only dedicate so much
time to the prizes.
3. Most importantly - the developers are dealing with many serious lag
issues and they don't want to add anything to the game that will cause
even more lag. (like the bloody foot prints)

The horse is just the same horse, reskinned, not even with an interesting unique skin like HC3. If the horse was unique and special it would be worth it.

The collar is going to to be unusable with any number of hair styles/cloaks/races, it will be clipping, clipping, clipping.

The 20 cloak is a cool idea but too small.

Reaper cloak is meh.

Started this season, got to level 7, then I saw the lazy rewards. This is the first season I am skipping after getting all previous rewards ( except pets, could care less about pets)

They have had 16 years. Do better.

I did it for the personal satisfaction. The cosmetics from past seasons just sit in the bank. I like the 15th Anniversary cloak better than anything in the last few seasons of HCL.

Now I only wish we could transfer off before the event ends. I like the build and am excited to continue playing it, but can't due to the artificial deadline of the end of June.

Pretty sure its a good to substantial income boost when HC is open...so yeah...efforts should be put forth.

I did HC for a change of pace and because my son was going there. Figured I'd play w/him for a bit. I like the "one-life-to-live", but would prefer some way of not losing all the farmed items. Got my toon all geared, for epics, then died immediately to a champ hitting me for multiples of 1K. all that gear gone.. boohoo.

I agree tho on the cosmetics. They're fugly. btw - that's worse than ugly.

I think one issue with SSG/Turbine/AnyCompanyOwningDDO is they don't know how to market items. Or maybe they do, and I completely don't understand it. For instance, I'd probably put items up, special cosmetics/mounts, for $10 a pop or something. Like, I want to have a mount like the Kobald in the Ooze. A $5 upgrade and you're invulnerable in wilderness areas. Mobs die instantly when touching you (but don't count for slayers)..

Ok, I rambled on. I think there should maybe be some other type of perk for reaching certain milestones. I dunno what. Not my job to figure those things out. Make it nice enough, and I might plop down a little $$ trying to obtain it though.

Looks like not showing us rewards earlier was part of the plan. The horse is more like a Jester (which is ok if it was a different theme)

Regarding the theme (Might and Madness):
- mimics ? Fits ok, kinda.
- Jester horse? What am I doing here?
- Collar ? Fits well. Someone tried to make you look like a mindflyer but the quality...
- Sash ? Fits well, but again that quality - was looking good only on concept art I guess
- HC 4 logo is more like Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean than mindflayers' tentacles
- Daelkyr champs? Very nice thing!

I like the level 20 cloak for HC4. I really like violet, most of my cosmetics, even mirrored ones are violet so this will be nice if I can survive to 20.

I do wish they had made some effort for the 1750 favor collar cosmetic to match the cloak but oh well. I'm not even a quarter of the way on that and I don't know if I'm even trying for it seriously. The new champions terrify me, I've had two brushes with death so far... or unconsciousness anyway. I roll too many ones particularly for saves.

I agree the mount is not particularly special or desirable. Instead of just placing a helm-like piece on it they should have actually changed its head to appear to be an aberration creature.

I didn't even look at the Reaper rewards, HC is anxiety-laden enough for me as-is.

Its not the rewards, its the challenge for me.

You also have to bear in mind what is possible with a game engine over 15 years old. There is only one horse model so your always going to get the same horse with a slightly different skln. I personally think the horse models and reskins in general look hilariously bad but I guess they can't always hit the mark.

I like the cloak and collar. I wanted to aim for 1750 but I just doubt I'll have the time. I still think the HC1 cloak is the best of the lot so far.
