Razorclaw Shifter's Pounce is Useless

I decided to try a Razorclaw Shifter this life. It's a pretty straightforward TWF Barbarian 20 build.

Overall I am enjoying the build it but I am disappointed with the Pounce enhancement. The targeting effect seems off as I often over/under shoot my target even if they aren't moving. And after I activate it I can't do anything other than move for a 1-2 seconds. That's a lot of missed attacks after jumping into the fray.

Anyone else having this issue or is it not bug-report worthy?

Yeah it seems everytime they try to program an animation it just ruins the ability. This delay after jumping is terrible please remove the delay.

So that if your target does decide to move, you'll just change your path and hit anyway.
Like magic missile does.


I used it a few times on my way to 30.
Had to get an artificer heroic past life and splashed a few levels of rogue for evasion.
Worked surprisingly well.
Main tree was occult slayer together with the racial tree, occult metalline and overwhelming shifting was what I was aiming for.
Rest was spread out over feydark illusionist and renegade mastermaker.

The wraps with twf is fun, though I made a few mistakes along the way regarding the feats.


Back on topic, Pounce is near useless as landing a hit with it is hardly ever possible and since you're not in full armor those few seconds of not being able to do something matter, like a lot.

i love pounce as a tank because i am able to better redirect agro, i agree it is not perfect but when you are engaging a group try using it to het to the back lines. if i was to complain about it i would point out that the animation is bad if your in animal form. that should be fixed.

I use pounce on my 20WIZ Razorclaw Shifter to cross large chasms. I never use it to attack. It sucks as an attack.

It blows dog as an attack.

You're right that its best use is to jump over chasms, streams, and such.
