I created 3 augments, slotted them in 3 different items.
I get the set bonus in the buff bar and when you examine my toon.
The damage to helpless on my character sheet doesn't change.

Is the set working and this is just a graphic bug?

Found the answer: It is the same bonus as Legendary Part of the Family

Just to clarify, do you have bonus helpless damage from any other sources? Perhaps it's a stacking issue (like if you have PotF set bonus as well) or it was typed wrong (like if it isn't stacking with Sense Weakness or something)?

Otherwise easy way to test if it's working (IE graphics bug) is to use Divine Crusader's T6 Strike Down - the light portion is always base 500 damage, so you can test with and without the set bonus on airship dummies (which are always helpless) very easily.

I see what I overlooked:

It is the same bonus as the Legendary Part of the Family set

Ok, the usefulness of those augments just went out the window.

Yeah, the augment sets are there as an alternative - like for a PM melee toon that's using Dreadkeeper. Or for future usage in 2024 for toons not using Sharn gear :p

My guildy was testing why his FotW base damage was like 200 higher than his Fatesinger damage on a Pally and we determined it was because of Sense Weakness; I'm 99% sure you don't need to do anything to the dummies to make them helpless.

I could definitely be wrong though :)

Save them for a few months when HW is the new endgame meta :P

Wallwatch has no Helpless Damage, and you can twist Pin to easily stick helpless.
