I can understand that there are technical issues when it comes to upgrading bank slots and inventory. Why not just create something new? You created the shared bank. I suggest getting rid of the TR cache. Take the maximum slots that you could use for it, maybe add the max bank slots as well and make something new. Make it similar to the auction house where you can click to only show certain items. Also add a level filter if you only want level 25 gear or level 13 boots. Add a part to search for anything: MRR, deadly, ghostly etc. Add a part to be able to create your own filter: say I wanted to “tag” my level 20 gear I always use when getting back to 20. Look, you’ve made this a game that have a lot to do with TRing, it’s time to make it better and easier for those who do to find, sort, and stash their gear. The TR cache is slow and no way to sort or find stuff. Please don’t say “it can’t be done”. It can, maybe it isn’t easy, but I think it’s time. I’ve been playing for over 10 years. It’s time. (Please?) :)

I have been playing for 15 now and I could not agree more.

As I said in another thread earlier today, for the devs: "Don't tell me why you can't do something, tell me why you can."

If the issue is the TR Cache cannot be removed and it is a lot of effort to redesign the legacy bank ui for more slots, I think a straightforward solution would be to add them as Tabs of the Shared Bank UI.

1. It would then be load on demand - Does not load that bank area until you request it (this might cut down up to 2/3rds of the load time and bandwidth use)
2. It would gain the current sort/search the Shared UI already has implemented, opening it up for more gains by adding other features benefiting more areas of the bank.

May not be the perfect solution, but it could solve many of the problems players have, not to mention it would open up for selling more 'Character Bank Slots' without the need to redesign the legacy interface. It might also mean that issue where when opening the bank, all the tabs shut down on you and you have to do the dialog again :)

I don't know, maybe they think shared banks and character slots (mules) are good enough. Its not like people are complaining about bank storage.

Keep the current systems and create a whole new thing separate from them. Items in the new bank don't go to reincarnated cache. It has always seemed like keeping the old system is the limitation of having a new one. Just keep it and add the right answer on to it.

I suspect storage stuff won't be likely until the new engineers are hired (if they haven't already been) and do the work on the backend for lag stuff; as I would assume that there's the risk of more storage space putting stress on the system right where they don't want any more stress currently.

They simply don't have the tech for UI changes, guys!
But on a serious note, I don't even want them to do any UI changes. They WILL break a thousand UI elements if they change one small thing. It's a convoluted bunch of code in the core of the game engine and they don't have anyone on staff that understands it perfectly enough.
