I really like how you included the release notes with the downtime notice.

It saves me some unnecessary extra clicking.

Thank you.

Honestly, the only reason they are here is because A:The patch is very small and B: Cordovan has the day off and I don't have the keys to post where the Release Notes normally go. :p

I would expect they will go back to the normal spot next time around but will let Cordovan know about the couple preferences listed here.

Cordo can put it in the other section for posterity, but this is a better format for the here and now.

Did you fix the unicorns in that raid to not ignore intimidate. Because on initial spawn they are getting an automatic strike chance intimidated or not.

Or keep a copy here, and the other where all the notes usually go, which would be pretty ideal.

i like too this format, but i think it is needed anyway to have the release notes section for future reference, without it, the release notes would be lost and buried in the dev tracker after a few days.

so, to be fair, go on like you always did, why double-format the same thing, IF it is a waste of time...it is? i don't know, asking...if it is not, well, maybe we can have both, as i said i like this format like a lot of players seem to, and variety is good.

can we get heighten fixed? submitted a bug report a week ago with no answer to it. Not working since last update on the Heal spell, works fine on harm just not heal. No drop down option to apply it to the spell in the hot bar and watching combat log with it on or off no change in the caster level of the spell either.

Are they getting Freedom of Movement or Immunity to Petrification from their T4 True Hunter ability? Cause right now they aren't getting the correct one or even the incorrect one.

This was fixed in Update 48 Patch 4, per the Release Notes. I can also confirm the in-game Freedom of Movement effect works.

True Hunter now properly lists its Freedom of Movement effect, and no longer lists its nonexistent Immunity to Petrification.

The problem is that the same quest giver is used for the pre-raid quest and the raid itself, very unlikley they will even look at this until some future upgrade of the quest and raid to legendary, and that hasn't been publicly voiced that I know of by any who would have a say on it.

Since I just TRed out of Shifter I just made a new Wildhunt Shifter to test (veteran status for the APs to get Wild Hunt). Immediately slid around on a grease spell, Freedom of Movement was definitely not working, at least not for Wildhunt. Servers are coming down in 5, so I don't have time to test Beasthide or Razorclaw right now.

I got caught by this one myself. The only way to fix it was a true reincarnation to reset quests. I was permanently locked out. I'm almost certain I was on run 19 of 20, so I just flat lost my 20th completion list as that was reset too.

I was pretty agitated when it happened and actually stopped playing for a while, as did my gaming group who followed me to another game for a stint. It doesn't sound like much, but 19 runs, each done every 3 days, took 57 days of scheduled dedication. Even having it down and going fast it still took over an hour each time, so the bug effectively screwed me out of a week's paycheck worth of time.
I wasn't doing anything sketchy either. I was using an intended mechanic, and just got hosed. I still get angry even thinking about it. To be honest, if I didn't have good friends who wanted to come back to the game (including my partner) I'd have just left it uninstalled and not came back.

The DM I had the ticket with gave me back my bypass timer. So there's that. I don't think he understood the time I lost, and how upset I was about it. I wish there was some way they could have compensated me for it, maybe flagged the character as 19/20 complete so I could level back up, flag, and finish it up? Maybe just roll something and let me pick from a set list as a mailed item as the list would have allowed? I don't know what they could have done, but I basically was just screwed over when it happened.

1-- I also like the convenience of having the notes here in the notification. Saving time/clicks is always a good thing.

2--Please fix or at least respond to the issue of some familiars having very slow movement rates. This was known before release. pseudodragon is the worst, pixie sometimes looks like it lags behind the group as well (haven't tried that one myself, they weren't available at release). I keep asking about this and reminding people, but it has yet to be fixed or acknowledged again. A simple "we are aware of it" plus "it's on the list" or "it's difficult and unlikely to be fixed in the near future" would be sufficient. You released a very cool feature, it is bugged, and an acknowledgement of that would be appreciated.

This was fixed in Update 48 Patch 4, per the Release Notes. I can also confirm the in-game Freedom of Movement effect works.

So now that the game is back up I did some more thorough testing. I made sure to spend enough AP to get the True Hunter buff showing on all three Shifter subraces. All three have the same typo where the the buff states immunity to petrification. Here are my results:

Wildhunt - Doesn't get FoM
Beasthide - Doesn't get FoM
Razorclaw - Doesn't get FoM

I used the simple Grease spell test as that is very low level and quick and easy to confirm. To make sure it wasn't just my imagination I made sure the Razorclaw could cast FoM as a spell. After verifying the character didn't have innate FoM I cast FoM and received the FoM buff and at that point the character did indeed receive the benefits of FoM from the spell as expected (in other words they stopped slipping on the grease after actually casting FoM).

I don't know what your in-game testing consists of, but my in game testing as of this morning post patch shows that no shifter subtype receives the effects of FoM from taking the True Hunter racial ability.

You aren't supposed to have Immunity to Petrification at all, so I'm glad to hear you don't. We'll get the effect text looked at.

It looks like the Immunity to Slippery Surfaces portion (but only that portion) isn't sticking to the player - We'll get that fixed up as well. The rest of Freedom of Movement seems to be working properly for Shifters.

The rest of the spell is a much harder part to test, particularly considering how little the spell actually protects you from. Can we get an upgrade to the spell at some point to cover Engulf and the being underwater effect? Those are two effects the spell should protect you against and when combined together in The Legend of the Lost Locket are enough to make a grown man, with freedom of movement up, cry. I'll even quote part of the spell from the SRD:

The subject automatically succeeds on any grapple check made to resist a grapple attempt, as well as on grapple checks or Escape Artist checks made to escape a grapple or a pin.

The spell also allows the subject to move and attack normally while underwater, even with slashing weapons such as axes and swords or with bludgeoning weapons such as flails, hammers, and maces, provided that the weapon is wielded in the hand rather than hurled.

Engulf is almost always considered a grapple or pin, and the water part, well that's pretty clear how that is supposed to work.
