Red Fens end reward glitched?

I've ran the Red Fens recently and for some reason, the end rewards are all lvl 1-3.

Arent these end rewards supposed to be lvl 7-9?

I've noticed this as well for other quest lines that offer chain completion rewards. I assumed that it was a deliberate change, but it could also be a bug - I think it's unlikely to be changed, in either case, anytime soon.

Named items were still offered for me, so at least it only seems to affect the random loot items.

Something has been wrong with the quest rewards there for a long line. It's a problem several older quests have for that matter. I have never really figured out the pattern to it, and it only seems to affect maybe 5% of quests. But certain quests with offer you under leveled loot that appears to be from much older tables than what most quests use. I believe I have also had this issue with the Sharn Syndicate quests.

I think some players wanted this, as these are some of the rare few places you can still get random spell clickies from. I've got 5 charge invis clickies for both of my most played characters, that stuff just doesn't drop in 99% of the game anymore. May have been nerfed but I used to run most of Sharn Syndicate every life and would see a spell clicky or 2 most runs (most trash but invis possible). IIRC you could also get old rare materials like mithril small shields and bucklers from Waterworks chain reward before the recent materials revamp. I think Red Fens is the same, but tbh the nostalgia run I did this year on the way out was the first time I'd run anything in Red Fens since making a sonic wand in 2017 so no idea if it's a clicky source anymore.

No, its always been a place to collect "good starter gear" off that list, or at least what was decent when this pack came out. Offhand I dont remember finding a clickie on this list in a long time and I run these pretty much every life.

Considering you need to be at least level 6 to even enter the Red Fens, with the quests being level 9, that's a pretty stupid place to get starter gear in.

That's not really a valid argument in a game where you can have more than one character and tr/reroll any existing character to level 1. The best ML 1 runspeed item in the game comes from a level 17 raid, for example, and many people farm their heroic gear at cap.

Once apon a time, when running these quests you would get items that where two or more levels above your current level.
Now that was really silly as there was no way those items had any use to you, not only because the level but also because they where of no use to your class.
The time when 28 points was the norm and that extra feat from human was a thing.

Oh, the outcry when level 34 goes live and all the items than are now classified as level 30 get their proper levels assigned.

this—it seems that quests that drop named items in questgiver lists have old loot tables. Marketplace sharn, Red Fens—maybe 3BC heroic?

these are not bugged or "wrong" they are the old loot tables, and one of the few places that still drops clickies.

hopefully they don't get "fixed", theres plenty of other places to get vendor trash

I was offered a ring of cold resistance clicky there a few days ago, I didn't take it though
