EDF and shield expertise

Read in the patch notes the Epic Defensive Fighting feat bonuses would apply w/ shield expertise feats as well. However, I do not see the bonus described as i enter the stance on my tank...

Because same bonus types do not stack. I assume you have an HP bonus from fighter or paladin? Those give the same bonus type as EDF iifc. (well, does not stack with any other sources of competence bonus to HP, regardless of source)
