This has been upsetting me for awhile now.
I keep avoiding writing this, since I'm too lazy to keep a running list of all of the minor (IMO) bug fixes that need to happen....for our benefit.

Yet, the nerfs... or bug fixes that reduce player power... oh. those will get fixed in a couple of days, if they are powerful enough.

Again, I wish I had a list. I plan to add to this as I think of them. Feel free to add your own.

I'm not talking about Lag either.

Here's an example off the top of my head.

Falconry Capstone clearly says it grants Freedom of Movement..... yet it doesn't. Not for me... no in grease traps at least.
Yet, where is the fix?.... how long will we wait? (and I don't mean change the text so that it is no longer mentioned....)

Recently, I learned that Meteor Swarm was considered an Earth spell? How long did that take to fix? Not until it was nerf time. (is it fixed now?)

Poison Traps. And Neutralize Poison Spell.
The Spell clearly is to give total immunity to all poisons for a short time....
But doesn't protect from Poison Trap damage.

(Then there is those poisoned icons...which don't go away when you drink Neutralize poison pots... I recently decided this has to do with stacks of poison effects.. but still....)

Freedom of Movement in general? Doesn't work like the description. And I realize some changes were made, but still. This is Broken IMO.

Fire Shield and Web immunity? does this work? I don't think so.



All of these little things.... years go by... no fixes.

Yet, the nerfs come so quick.

Upsets me... and I am sure I'm not the only one. (actually, I m really worried that my best friend my quit this game one day because of this kind of stuff...)

a lot of stuff stay bugged forever.

it looks really bad when returning players, and in a 15 years old game maybe it means they were away how many years? 5? 10?, come back and the bugs are still there.


about meteor swarm:

meteor swarm is bugged, but in a different way.

the fact that it was an earth spell, it has been always so, it was normal and intended, until latest patch. it has always been both a fire spell and earth spell. for a lvl 20 fire sorc in elemental form, this used to mean a -3 caster level because of the penalties of elemental form. but, the max caster level of meteor swarm was 30. so, well, no problem really. now it's 20, and meteor has no more the earth descriptor. nerfed.

so, it was not a bug.

but it is bugged, i have not checked if they fixed it. it was always bugged, i'll be surprised if they fixed it.

quicken. if you quicken meteor swarm right-clicking the hotbar to always on, you shoot less meteors. if quicken feat is activated globally, no problem. this means you have to turn on quicken globally and manually disable it for every single spell you don't want quickened.

i have not yet checked, but i expect it was nerfed but not fixed. the release notes mention no fix.

I think poison damage is different, and it is not intended to give immunity to it. Only to the poisoned condition, which can do a variety of things depending on the source. Not sure what specifically you mean about drinking the poison pots...

Uh, what do you mean FoM doesn't work like the description? Works fine for me. If you're thinking of things like getting forced to dance or getting greater commanded, those probably are working as intended because the spell says it protects against things that impede movement. Command and dance do not impede movement at all, they compel you to do things.

I can add one that still bothers me even after all these years. There is even an Official thread about it... if you cannith craft keen on a weapon with an augment slot something goes fubar and the next time you log in the crafted weapon may loose everything that was crafted on it and the augment slot, and whatever may have been slotted in the augment slot.

You'd think after they made an official thread to nail down the bug they would have done something about it, wouldn't you?

What about crafting handwraps into collars? You can do it but as far as I can tell, they don't do anything anymore.

Isn't there also a bug with putting augments on pet items? Is that one new or old?

I am appreciative that they finally removed generic damage guard items, since those were broken for years.

Yeah this is definitely a long-standing big problem. The thing is, it greatly contributes to an adversarial relationship between the devs and the player base. This is why a lot of stuff doesn't get reported. Worse, from the standpoint of newer players and people wanting to learn more about how to improve their play---a lot of builds and so forth don't get posted because people don't want to draw the equivalent of the Eye of Sauron. That impoverishes new players particularly. Notice how much thinner the various build sections are on the boards right now? It is no accident.
