View Full Version : Paladin Build Ideas for Fury/Primal Lives?

I have been running a ton of ERs, and noticed that on my Paladins Primal lives are unexpectedly unpleasant. Even Arcane lives can be awesome thanks to the awesomeness of Fatesinger, but while Primal has a very fun THF destiny in Fury, Fury's Rage and Adrenaline features are in direct conflict with Sacred Defender, and I have always done the standard 41 Enhancement points in KoTC, 31 in SD, and whatever is left over in racial or whatever.

I could always just run the non-Rage, non-Adrenaline parts of Fury with my SD stance and just continue to be bored. But Fury can be so fun when you let it all rip.

So I'm looking for ideas for what to do with the non-KoTC secondary enhancement that will allow me to have fun with Fury.

I don't think Falconry will do it because I have mostly STR-based paladins, and Falconry's DCs shine with WIS-based characters. Or are the non-DC-based features worth it?

That leaves basically what, Vistani Knife Fighter? The Mist-Stalker line is pretty cool, but it protects you when as a Paladin you're already pretty protected.

I have learned from the Confront Any Foe controversy that there were more Fury Paladins out there than I knew. Besides, you know, milking Confront Any Foe, how did it work, especially with how you apportioned your enhancements? Any ideas appreciated, thanks!

Falconry for helpless damage

Just general helpless damage, or helpless damage specifically from the bird?

Because if from the bird, then it's a Wisdom DC, and I've tried it on a few characters without maxed Wis and it does diddly squat. With maxed Wis it is pretty nice, though it would be even nicer if it went off more often.

general helpless damage. +2 STR from cores with melee power defense, 5% hps, sprint boost, heal amp. When I think about falconry, bird attacks and wisdom are the last things I think about. I never used a bird attack.
