If this is the same list as the 10th anniversary, I'm happy that newer players will get to have a Quiver of Alacrity (30% striding at level 1 after you've upgraded it). Unless there's an Epic Sword of Shadow (i.e. not just the Heroic version) in the box, the Quiver of Alacrity will be the best possible pick for anyone who is considering a hop on the reincarnation train.

I mean they could be better than CitW weapons, yes. But unless they're endgame raid weapons right now, they're just as irrelevant...Quiver is the only piece of non-endgame raid gear that's meaningfully relevant.

I'd be happy if they let you choose any 1 S/S/S item too :) eSoS or eStorm for everyone lol

Yeah I guess this is better than some years, cosmetic stuff is a waste of inventory space. Sounds like it will be a lame version of the 10th anniversary then with only one raid item per account.

Well, 1 item per account is way worse than 1/character. The only raid item I want is the quiver (missed the last 6 anniversaries) on multiple characters, on an endless TR train so by the time I am done the cap will be 40 and all the other raid items worthless. Unless they are putting a 10 otto's box as an option, I highly doubt I will pick anything else. With my luck the list won't have the quiver.

6 months to get the raid out, short changes the on the slayer area for feywild and the obnoxious lag issues we have been dealing with....let's see what they come up with. That being said I have no faith in the these people.

I would pick the raid item as if it was meaningful endgame equipment.

If they incrementally raise the level cap to 40 there will be nobody left to play whatever endgame at 40 looks like anyway and odds are there will have been little meaningful raid content put out for years by them anyway as the player base vanished to attrition.

If SSG is having trouble attracting new players now imagine what the results will be like in 6 or 8 years when DDO is that much more antiquated compared to the current MMO's that have released in the interim.

I rather doubt there will be any loot from any endgame raids offered, that would just anger the people that run those raids. Hey, anything is better than nothing for sure but I think the reward should be a little better than it is. And dont forget, theres a now raid for you raiders out there. And from what I read on WIKKI, you get to protect Lars Heyton yet again. FUN, WOW!

That was my thought too. Either 1/account or BTC, but I dont see the reason behind both. If its BTC then you dont have any worries about people rolling alts just to farm items....at least not without buying Wish for BTA, and heck if people want to spend $30 a pop for that then let 'em :D

It seems arbitrarily cruel to have to designate only one character the designated beneficiary of Anniversary gifts. Especially since they arent likely to be BIS long-term gear anyway, so your "main" likely wont need it, but your "alts" may not be important/played often enough to warrant it...

Turbine was the one fostering the alts. You have to assume that SSG does not, and has done everything possible to kill them. I had a lot of alts, but last year I accepted that having more than two characters nowadays is stupid. Do like me, give up your alts and don't pay a single penny more for them. There is no point in playing against the tide and on top of it give money to this bunch of disasters who run the company.

Alas, I only have about 20 past lives between them all, but 26 of them are at present lvl20+.

Main class of toons: 7 Rangers; 4 WLs, Rogues, sorcs, bards; 3 pallies, ftrs, wizzes, monks; 2 arties, clerics, Shadarkai, PDKs; 1 Barb, scoundrel, deep gnome, Bladefoged, Morninglord, scourge. Zero druids or alchemists.

You can't imagine how much plat/shards I've spent on tomes!

Gearing them is a nightmare too! :D

Aren't most complaining that only one per account is the problem? Not the power level. Most people seem to want another chance at the Quiver of Alacrity, hardly the most powerful gear from the newest raids.

That is for the set bonus augments, the Soulforged augments that grant a single ability of the raid item only require one.

Yeah that'd be a tough call but I dont play many high-drain casters...between Elieri and all the mnemonic pots I've collected over the years, I've never run out of spellpoints. I do play THF though so that'd be an easy fire-and-forget option for ETRing, I'd definitely get lots of use out of it.

Also eRoSS, in theory, a non-raid item, so I could hypothetically grind one out if I really needed it (lol)...whereas I dont raid, so eSoS is completely unavailable to me.

It's great they are offering sos and quiver again. The rest is pretty meh and the 1/account is pretty stingy. I mean we've been supporting this game for 15 years here. This game has existed for 15 years not because of them but because of us. Show us a bit more respect.

I guess I'll pick up litany for the augment since pugs don't ever run Mark of Death for whatever reason. Ever is an exaggeration. I'm sure people run it, but they very rarely did when I played. On the other hand Countenance is the best looking cloak and it's not close. Looking good is actually objectively better than +2 to stats so this is actually difficult. I have to re-install the game so rip I probably won't get anything.
