A lot of it relates to whether you like the levelling process. A TR itself gives you a little bit extra, but not a lot. You get 2 more point to use on Abilities at character creations, a free passive feat (Druids get a bonus to ability scores for summons), and an option for another feat (that takes a feat slot). You can do a Racial Reincarnation instead, but the bonuses are different from the Heroic TR feats, and have a minimal impact until you've done several of them.
You could also do an Epic Reincarnation, which also gives you some more power but only moves you back to level 20 and doesn't reset your character (you keep your Favor, quest completions, etc.). You get to level up from 20-30 again.
This page gives a good rundown on what the various types of reincarnation do: https://ddowiki.com/page/Reincarnation

I am going to say something that is probably going to get a lot of mockery here but in my 10-11 years of playing DDO, I have never TR-ed any of my toons even once.
I did do LRs and ERs but never the full TR because I did not want to lose all my favor gains, raid flagging or have to deal with the inventory side of things like get a cache. So if you want to test it, I suggest Epic Reincarnation as you don't really lose anything aside from re-leveling the epic levels (which is not too bad).
I know it is ridiculous but that's how I like to play it so totally up to you. Just letting you know that players like me exist too (albeit I bet we are very few).

You also reset your favor, which means you get more DDO points for re-running those quests :)
Also you can get another set of free tomes at 1750 and 5k favor respectively, which is pretty nice if you don't have those.
And finally, if you're not VIP you can now immediately open Hard (Elite after your 2nd TR) which is pretty rad for favor/loot/XP.

Just do ETR dont bother with TR unless you are planning to do racials, class TR are a pain and not as useful as ETR or racial, ETR allows your play druid constantly till you puke, just careful of Tring when it laggy otherwise u have problem like i did (still waiting GM to sort it all out)( basically R20 lag hit me just after choosing your 1st lvl and go to the grove to get 3.8m lvl to 20 ,bounced me out , I waited for 10 minutes and nada, then it crashed out , i got a Character is aready in world and thats was it) wasted 2 day while gm sort the login, after logging i ALL my Epic destinies resverted to ZERO points and no completed destinies. Still waiting for GM to solve it as after waiting 2 days i log out for 3 hours and sods law hits again, that was when GM tried to sort my account out, can't do it unless am logged in , so now its 2 extra days and counting without logging out, while waiting for online GM to sort it.
SO careful when you ETR/TR/RTR if its laggy just forget it otherwise you in a world of hurt as i am atm

Do not heroic tr with out epic tr first.
I have seen this happen.
If you are iconic then does not apply.

To answer you question. Two good races to TR into, if you want to stay as drood, are half-orc (for strength) and dorf (for con).
My main is a drood and I have ETR'ed/ITR'ed/TR'ed a number of times. If you like drood, why not split your drood with another class, PDK fighter/drood (I added one level of rogue as I tend to solo) is a fun class mix and helps with tactical skills as well as PRR from the PDK past life. This life I am running a SDK Drood/monk VKF character (for the second time) and having great fun and get the +1 damage monk past life.

There are benefits to the True Reincarnation Route
https://ddowiki.com/page/Reincarnation
1. Each Class has its own Passive Past Life Benefit which max's out at 3x per class for benefits
2. 28/32/34/36 Point Build (these are more points to spend in your start up attributes)
3. DDO point earning via Favor (opens up earning favor rewards again)
4. For non-VIP being able to open on Hard/Elite with each new reincarnation
Also, don't worry too much, you have the option of the Racial Reincarnation if you want to play a Druid only, it is a slower reincarnation system but you will earn past life benefits and continue to play a druid. For example I'm currently running two different characters all of which their lives are my preferred classes of Cleric and Wizard.
I will point out if you enjoy running Raid style content, it might be good to have one character 'parked' at 30 to do that, while you work on another character.

you can TR and redo your reaper points and enhancement trees and feats for it.
while it adds to your ability's to do so with added skill points from the start of the next tr as well
it also adds passive enhancements for past life's.
as well IF, since you have already accumulated reapers points reaper will be easer.
at least the 3 class druid trs and any other class you may want to multiclass into for your end character.
in addition say you get skills from another past class past life that are compatible with your druid build.
+1 may not be much but + 3 is more and it stacks with everything.
