I think level 5 is the wrong spot for the new expansion. Running 3BC saga on elite will put me near level 8, a little high for Feywild. I would like to see it moved (with proper difficulty adjustments) to the 8-9 or maybe 13-14 range. These are areas where leveling, for me, seems to drag. Maybe because I don't like many of the quests.
Also, the power of the named items seems very high for lvl 5.
Just my impression on the first time through.

Could we use some new 8-9 & 13-14 stuff, sure; but feywild is nice where it is. The level 5 gear holds until Raveloft at 10 which holds until Sharn at 15 so it fits perfectly for 5 level gaps per sets. And it's nice to have more options other than running 3BC each life. At this point with borderlands, grove, & feywild, we have all sorts of alternative options to run instead of the same exact quests each life at low levels.

The Feywild should have been level 7+ content. Mostly because DDO is supposed to be telling a story and it breaks that immersion. The developers forget they are story tellers as well as developers.
Anyways we disagree why it should be moved but agree that it should be moved.

There are going to be future expansions too, you know. If they gave you a complete 1-to-30 optimized pathway then where are they going to have room to put in new content?
Its the same basic issue as with item design...when someone has exactly what they need, the only thing you can do to incentivize them is give them an even better version of exactly what they need, and that just turns into power creep and boring numbers chasing.
If they positioned Fey to exactly cover the gap between 3BC and Ravenloft, then A) they're obsoleting all the older content in that level range, and B) the next expansion is just going to make Fey or Raven or Sharn or something obsolete, plus C) it'll have to have even stronger loot and even freer XP.

I like it where it is, they can do the next pack at a higher level.

I do agree they need more quests for 8 to 13 I'm a level 10 and running the same few quests again and again just to level and get decent loot.

No doubt we need more higher level content. After Gianthold it is just a chore to get to 20 with not too many options to help. But I think Feywild is perfect at it's current level. Borderlands gear runs to Feywild gear which runs to Ravenloft. Maybe the X1 dinosaurs can fix the mid-teen blues.

Don't run 3BC ? :-D
Feywild is an alternative to the old quests.
And lvl 8 is perfectly ok for the Feywild : lvl 5 - Normal, lvl 6 - Hard, lvl 7 - Elite. 1 lvl higher on Elite won't give you penalties. (Plus, the 2nd part of Feywild is lvl 6).
Maybe because I don't like many of the quests.
Well... You do understand that the devs interested to sell you more stuff not to adjust the thing you've already got, don't you ? Sad but true.

The Feywild should have been level 7+ content. Mostly because DDO is supposed to be telling a story and it breaks that immersion. The developers forget they are story tellers as well as developers.
And the beginning of that story is in The Lost Gatekeepers which is lvl 3 ! Moving Feywild to 7+ would only INCREASE the gap.
PS. DDO Forum at it's best : complaining about something nobody's care, proposing "fixes" completely opposite to what a real fix might be.

There are enough adventure packs in DDO to level you up to 20 without repeating a singe quest.
(Some say it's even enough to lvl 30. Well, maybe. I prefer the old "dailies" style.)

Dont run 3bc? LOL, theres a saga reward along with the level 7 house D quests. Simply put off taking the saga xp reward until a level where you might need a little xtra xp to move you along. The devs have enough on their plate to do, no need to fix something that ain't broken.
