Help me build an iconic shifter please

I'm finishing up some TR'ing and will land on a Iconic Shifter for my last life. I'm hoping to find a build useful enough to sit at cap till a new race comes out. Iconic Shifter seems the least viable race they've ever added so i may have planned very poorly ????. I can use +1 hearts and alignment changes as needed so while not ideal i can live with it. I should have the needed tomes and past lives to meet requirements of some creative build ideas i hope you all can help me with. I have all classes and tree's available. I typically play reasonably self sufficient builds and realize my playstyle may need to adapt.

I hope to effectively play in low reaper and be able to help a high reaper group if i happen to find myself in any.

Pure barbarian with ravager capstone might work.

I'm aiming for Shifter (not Razorclaw though) as my end destination once racials are done. I'll be a pure barb using Ravager capstone. As there are some really good synergies for Ravager Barb with Shifter, between added con and the save debuff howl, along with casting through rage, Magic Fang, and regeneration of rages.

That said, I also know of a more DPS focused barb (as opposed to my visage focus), a better player than me who is Razorclaw with FB capstone regularly running R10 groups at cap. The Pounce enhancement is really strong for burst apparently.

If Razorclaw I'd go FB. If normal Shifter I'd go Ravager.

So I think you can get a lot of good stuff from Razorclaw as a pure barb. If you like barbs that is!

Anyway I wouldn't despair. Shifter gets a bad rep as it doesn't excel at a couple of obvious areas where it is expected it should (shifting it's-self isn't all that strong, and handrwaps aren't great either) but if you ignore those "traps" it's a pretty good race IMO. Caveat again I'm speaking from a barb perspective.
