The DDO game worlds will be brought down for a weekly restart every Wednesday starting at 9:00 AM Eastern (-5 GMT). The downtime typically lasts for less than an hour.

Let's be honest, this event schedule can only be described as "semi-regular" it is not EVERY Wednesday. Sometime it is Thursday. Sometimes it is skipped and is the following week. The confusion is understandable for those who are new, those who do not frequent the forums, and those who seek news mainly from the launcher. Someone also mentioned (last week?) perhaps 2 weeks ago the sticky post is amongst many other expired and now inaccurate sticky posts.

The message is clearly not getting to everyone. Maybe do something different?

I'm guessing that it's a pain to add it to the launcher - requires a whole new graphic to be mocked up. And then uploaded to the launcher, which might be another technical obstacle (without taking the launcher down for a few minutes?). Dunno, but that's a blind but educated guess.

As for announcements, as mentioned above there were several over the last few days, and then in-game the usual countdown warnings.

Just like the military - there's always someone who doesn't get the word. Doesn't mean someone's not doing their job.
