Hi I just wanted to come sing my praises for an excellent expansion, well done! The wilderness is amazing, the quests are interesting and diverse and not over long. You dont need to do them in any order either! I like the subject and the creatures. I honestly think its the best expansion yet!

Look, one of the devs are posting. It sucked, totally. Look at the effort, art and landscape in ravenloft. No comparison at all, go back to the drawing board.

I thought it was pretty great too. Cool stories, quests, and loot. I like the aesthetic too. My only preference would have been for the wilderness zone to be a little larger

I mean your icon speaks for itself :p

Personally I really enjoy the art, landscape, etc of Feywild > Ravenloft. Grimdark is cool and all but like I really enjoy the flower fields, the whimsy, and the fun architecture from Feywild.

But art is subjective so YMMV :)

What I like about Feywild:

A) It didn't break the meta by introducing vastly stronger stat/skill numbers, just a minor uptick. It also offered set bonuses which are very malleable and much easier to slot.

B) The dungeon, slayer, city, and critter designs were all exactly what I'd expect from Feywild. Not disappointed there.

C) The playstyle where certain challenges could be averted/changed if you had X or Y skill, I love that because it's a callback to classic Pnp D&D. It adds utility to characters who perhaps needed it.

D) The dungeons aren't anti-player. What I mean by this is many dungeons/raids are designed to prevent players from using small things like DD to skip mobs. I was OVERJOYED when in Frosty Reception I saw you can not ONLY DD to the start and skip a LOT of mobs, but you could also enter the boss fight from a different door to avoid even more! I can't tell you how frustrating it is as a player to have tactics/effects/spells/abilities that SHOULD reasonably help you, but don't because of the design of the quest/raid.

My only complaints about Feywild are:

A) A couple of my favorite items I was looking at weren't even close to what I wanted. Both the summoning buff from the necklace, and the broken/ninja replaced legendary cloak of winter proc effect. I'm an item guy, so this is a VERY big deal to me, and I'm still not done raising a stink about it, I will only escalate until it's addressed.

B) I want moar of it! It was a very fun pack to play, I like the slayer, I like the look and feel of the place. I hope they come out with a (FUN & REWARDING) set of challenges for Feywild. I think there's LOTS of elbow room for games of whimsey in the land of whimsey.

C) The copied-over weapons you can trade for that's been a thing since Eveningstar/Ravenloft... They should really just stop this nonsense nobody uses these. Some people like them for the art, of that I'm sure, but not much else.

I agree - I love feywild!

I would like to see the feytwisted chase item concept repeated in future content.

I just traded my stack in for over 20k sentient xp.

I just wish it would stop the loot confirmation click they require.

I have enjoyed Feywild as well, Sure it's not as polished as Sharn or Ravenloft, but it's still pretty fun, and the loot is fair as well.

Timmy has obsessive compulsive disorder amongst other major mental health issues such as split personality disorder. Timmy doesn't know when to stop, or be nice. Timmy is just a naughty naughty little boy. Timmy will try not to be Timmy in the future. But if Timmy does a Timmy, its not Timmys fault....just saying.

I quite like it as well, though it seems to suffer from lack of time or resources to meet a deadline. I like the flavor and style, just wish there were more of it. More quests, longer quests, larger explorer. Bring on the follow up packs in Feywild and add more gear for the seasonal sets so we have more variety in filling them out!

My happiest surprise though, is horizontal gear progression. I hate new stuff being clearly better than old stuff, new stuff should be alternatives to old stuff and it accomplishes this very well. In one of the Lama posts Lynn asked how long gear should remain relevant. If designed correctly, it could theoretically be forever. I look forward to eternal horizontal gear tetris!

I like it too and it will be even better when they finish it.

you admit the expansion is not complete. We paid $40 minimum for an incomplete piece of software. You are ok with this?

Why are so many people okay with paying top money for something that is not complete?

I have zero interest in Feywild except for the Feydark Illusionist tree (mainly for CHA based Paladins) and that will eventually be put on the store so...

Setting for me is meh, Shifter is meh and the gear is nothing special it seems?

Agreed, its nice!

Feytwisted was a nice twist imho.
Items not so good so everything else just **** in comparision. (Item designs is great right now imho!!)
And diverse quests!

(Its in the ballpark of most good expansions imho, Ravenloft easy no1 and after that many, including this is a solid and good one).

Feywild is nice but it does not compare to Ravenloft. Ravenloft has a better plot, ominous feel, and you can teleport to the quests instead of having to run through the **** wilderness.

Ravenloft has some of the best quests ever made, namely Invitation to Dinner and Amber Temple. Feywild doesn't have a single quest that even approaches the quality of those two.

We will await the raid but Curse of Strahd was one of the best raids they have ever come out with, and by far the best one since Deathwyrm, and I think it's better than Deathwyrm. Probably the best raid they've done since the original Abbot.

I'm not saying Feywild is bad, it's nice, it's fun, the art is pretty, there are certainly things I enjoy about it, just DO NOT tell me it's better than Ravenloft because it's not even close.

Compared to Ravenloft, and to Sharn, Feywild isn't the top.
It ain't bad, however. The quests feel to me rather as if aimed at storyplayers. I love them, and their variety, that "in the Feywild, everything is a bit different". Begins with the Spirit Binder ...
