Both of the Sharn questlines (Masterminds and Soul Splitter) have ended with Kalphan Riak, who is not the leader, but a high standing member of The Aurum and has a seat in the Shadow Cabinet (https://eberron.fandom.com/wiki/Shadow_Cabinet), leading you on and being mysterious. He has stated that your adventures are not over at the end of Soul Survivor, which could very well be made into a lead to a new quest pack. We have heard many references and mentions about The Aurum during gameplay, but have had very few encounters with it. The only recallable moments where we encountered The Aurum is when speaking with Kalphan, or the vague moment in Foundation of Discord that doesn't really come with a lot of background as to why there is an Aurum stronghold far within Gianthold. Another Aurum encounter is when Vaunt was requesting to join the platinum concord in Just Business, which was turned down due to his lack of...subtlety? Shall we say?
But I am proposing that, perhaps in a future update, we could see Krona Peak (https://eberron.fandom.com/wiki/Krona_Peak), which is where The Aurum headquarters are located. It is also the capital of the Mror holds. The quests involved would hopefully get us more involved in what The Aurum has to offer, and not have it just sound like some weird economic cult for people with excessive amounts of money. We could interact with Antus ir'Soldorak, who is the chancellor of the Shadow Cabinet, and the platinum concord.
THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION! IT IS NOT AN OFFICIALLY APPROVED UPCOMING UPDATE...yet ;)

There's also the time when the Aurum backed Hazadil to get access to Quori relics from the Restless Isles. And when they invaded the Vault of Night together with Velah, though some of their lines indicate they did not completely know what they had signed up for. I'm in favour of more Aurum but particularly more intrigue-y stuff, we've had fights with their agents, we've had an enemy-of-my-enemy situation with them where one faction wanted Vaunt gone, we did the dirty work and they just pointed us in the right direction. I would like to see an adventure where we take on some operation they're really invested in but it would have to be really clever. The problem is that they're such a big and powerful group in Eberron that fighting them directly will just get you arrested, tried for assault, and then locked away or executed. Much like corporations in real life. If there's a way to do it that doesn't end with our characters being outlaws everywhere I'm all for it.

i was really happy to see the new faction, morgrave university, patron is in sharn. atm the only quest giving favor is the promise of fire. happy because something different than "do stuff because codex pages" may start. i really hope in a new storyline.

Isn't that exactly what they are though? A group of people who have tremendous power because they're absurdly wealthy and not particularly ethical or moral and whose sole aim is to gain more wealth and power through whatever means necessary. But they're also the sort who don't operate openly and that's why they really stopped backing Vaunt - he was too open with what he was doing. Not political enough, no plausible deniability. Look at Riak, quietly behind the Soulsplitter BS, he knew what Vulcana and LeRoux were doing and he was perfectly comfortable profiting from it till the Lord of Blades got involved. Then he just pushed the doctors under the bus, washed his hands clean and dried them on our clothes.
Unless its bringing the Aurum to ruin and destruction I really don't want to have much else to do with them. I felt bad enough I couldn't just stab Riak in his wormy, corrupt face at the end of Soul Splitter.
I don't enjoy storylines where I'm unwittingly working for a bad guy, even if the goal is good, I like my justice cleaner and less shady.

Perhaps the aurum is working towards something big and beneficial? Maybe Riak is trying to take over the aurum, and must be stopped? Maybe he is corrupted or possessed, like Archbishop Dryden?

Disbelief can only be suspended so far. Demons, ghosts, and magical powers make more sense than the Aurum being a force for anything other than their own good.
