Cruel Nobility on a CG Character

Does using the Cruel Nobility scimitar on a Chaotic Good character only give that character one negative level or two? I've done some testing wrt items with alignments that conflict with the character's alignment, but it was only one alignment per item, so I'm curious as to whether a character can receive more than one negative level from the same item.

Doesn't matter. Just don't use this junk.
Use Macabre weapons (Ravenloft) if you need DR/evil, otherwise Vulkoor's Edge (Disciples of Rage) is vastly superior.

If your alignment is Chaotic Good, you will get two negative levels, one from evil weapon, and one from axiomatic (lawful) weapon. But again, having two Cruels equipped does not add anymore negative levels as you said.

Macabre weapons are ML10, not ML29.

FWIW, Cruel Nobility is essentially under-powered junk these days. I don't even bother saving them to feed to a sentient either. They're practically useless unless you're actually trying to be under-geared.

Ah, I stand corrected. It seems my "lvl 10 ravenloft weapon" is not a good descriptor. I just can't remember their fanciful names (or rather not bothered to remember).

I was fortunate enough to get a hold of one just a few hours ago. Apparently it'll give two negative levels on a CG character. Thanks for all the input guys :)

Interesting, never knew this! I will be careful should I run into an alignment-restricted item.

For weaponry, LGS is fairly reliable, as are the new alchemicals, also Thunderforged (imo).

Now if you could actually use them to get into R1 when too overlevel that would be something. Aw well.

Anyway, best use for this item is to feed your sentient gem for a whopping 16 sentient xp.
Unless you really are a newbie free-to-play player and your access to better content is very limited.
