December deals are actually good for alt accounts!

So, I have seen a lot of negativity about the sales that SSG has been putting out for the holidays and I just wanted to let the devs know that some of us appreciate the sales! With Black Friday's deals I was able to buy supreme +8 tomes for both of my mains which never would've happened without the double bonus points and the 50% off. I was also able to purchase a bunch of enhancement trees and other goodies that I was missing from being gone for 3 years as well as stock up on a ton of points to hold onto for future bank space sales (hopefully).

The December deals have all the expansions at a huge discount until Jan 5th and it prompted me to finally make an alt account. I was able to get all the previous expansions, including Collector's edition Shadowfell (for the iconics) plus 3 months of vip for around $110 which pretty much unlocks the entire game for a fresh account and to me that says a lot. This game has a metric TON of content and to have it all available for less than I would spend on a round of drinks at the pub is actually pretty awesome.

Depends how many people you're buying a round for!

And where you live - Average price of a beer in Manhattan is 6-8 dollars, in London it's supposedly £4.57 which is $6.14 but frankly I'd like to know where in London you can get a pint of decent beer in a pub for less than £4.57!

That could easily come to $110 if you're in a group of 20 people :) {even if everyone's drinking pints not wine or liquor!}

I'm sure typical responses of "stop whining, you don't deserve anything, etc, etc". No, we don't. But also, they are still **** for established players. And again, if they were better (at least individually, our only vantage point), we would (at least individually, our only vantage point) spend more money.

I do not think there are all that many of us who only have 1 character.

I think it's much more the case that many of us have alts we used to play who we feel the pace and demands of the game and its powercreep forced us to marginalize and leave by the wayside.

Well, I've noticed that the vast majority of people that I have been running with on Thelanis all multibox, so yes, the deals are very good for alt accounts and lots of people can take advantage of that. The deals alone are what prompted me to finally make an alt account and start multi-boxing like everyone else.

Also, there is no way that I would've ever purchased supreme +8 tomes for both my mains without the 50% off deal at the same times a a double bonus point sale which effectively made them into a "buy one, get one free" scenario. So for some of us, the deals were good even for our main accounts.

With the Pandemic in the US, you will not find me in a pub.
Maybe in a couple of years.
