I am calling BS on your videos.!!!!!

Unless you start with a 28 point build FROM THE BEGINNING with a naked toon and show us the grotto and korthos. Then these videos are just garbage!!!

Your videos use an over powered toon With nice gear and pots and scrolls and cosmetics.. BS!!!

By the way I love this idea and want you to do the video series, but do it AS IF YOU ARE ON HARDCORE. Zero plat, naked gear

to be honest, to get around the zero plat etc.
I always make a crafter first.
have them do Korthos village as an arty (easy to do) ... be sure to choose dragon marks that improve crafting.

THEN- park them in front of a crafting station.
start my real toon, crafter should have a bit of plat in shared bank by then
to start them out and any gear I can't use goes to shared bank where
my crafter grinds it up for cash and crafting exp.

later the crafter can make rings of featherfall and elect. resistance etc..
With the cash flow from the crafter, can later shop with pawn vendors and later AH.

so it all goes smoother if you start by making a crafting toon first.
almost always an arty (if you can)

the 2 biggest killers in HCL if your just doing the Heroic favor is

Traps
Champions

Traps - ways to deal with them
----------------------
Trap disarm skills

Evade (dangerous, a rolled 1 can end your day) preferably with a human who can take
saving throw boost that prevents a (one) from being an auto fail. still risky.

Barbarian blood tribute - to buff your HP until the trap can't kill you

Have a gold seal rogue hireling - usually have to micro manage them

Be in a group who has a trap expert

Champions - ways to deal with them

Know your limits, if your solo and you see a large number of them
from a distance - finish out and reset dungeon to try again.
Re-due a dungeon is easier than re-due a character from scratch.

Don't zerg - know what is up front before you agro it.
Do skip certain dungeons - see OP for a good list Some dungeons are just not worth it.
use collectables to get healing elixers over regular healing potions.

CON is not a dump stat

when you have a chance to improve HP from the enhancement trees, do it.
and extra 10 hp will sometimes server you better than an extra +1 to hit.

The golden rule- you do not lose from failing to complete a dungeon,
you lose from dying.

Watch my Video One (https://youtu.be/nbd1XYLn-OM) - I go over exactly that, I start the series completely new, naked with zero plat and no gear - on a the worst possible DDO race - a Drow, for flavor, but Drow are 28 points even if you have 32 unlocked, which I do; remember the HCL 3 server I got 5/5 so unlocked all the favor rewards already, so that will be inaccurate - also inaccurate is I am a season pass holder so doing the daily gold rolls which is not normal since there were only a limited number of those. I am doing them to transfer the loot off to my home server until they shut down the HCL server.
One of the problems is the afterparty is not accurate - there are no other players, so I cannot find groups; there's no AH, no pawn brokers, I'm just stuck on the dead server doing the best I can to go over what I think is important before HCL 4 starts.

I am excited to see what is planned for HCL4, though
I did not like the idea floated around for short seasons,
considering how much real money players invest, and
real-time - one example being the guild ship - a huge
investment of capital both money and time that SSG
just deletes because there's no system in place to move a guild.

Planning for HCL

1. Plan ahead - goals - your goal determines your quest difficulty.
2. Do quests 4 levels above
3. Reward Strategy - each requires a different strategy. 20 (all normal), 1750 (all easy elites), 5000 (all elites), 100k rxp (easy reapers & lvl 30 for 1st time bonus) 400k rxp (50%pot, 1st time)
4. Platinum - acquiring, farming easy quests with lots of chests
5. Basic gear - needed; potions, scrolls, hirelings,
6. Shards - how to? Check your monster manual; do your gold rolls
7. Guilds - for buffs and buddies
8. Advanced Gear - planning for 5k and reaper
9. Challenges - don’t forget; raids too
10. Buddies - friends are important
11. Asking for Help - in game in guild, in pugs, in chat, on ddo.com, YouTube, twitch
12. Respect - show respect for your fellow gamers - remember when you were new. If you’re a new player - respect the vets and their advice, it can save you time.
