Guild Airships

Does anyone know if you have bought a small airship with shards and want to upgrade do you get a trade in of shards when you upgrade like you do for plat ships.

You don't "part-exchange" Guild Airships, you have purchase them at full price. So if you want use Astral Shards to purchase a large Guild Airship that has room for the majority of Guild Amenities you might as well just purchase the most expensive Airship you can afford, e.g. Daedalean Kraken.

Sadly, there is absolutely no 'trade-in' value for smaller ships of any kind.

Judging by my own experience and others who have discussed it on forums in the past - if you think the ship you're about to buy is big enough, it ain't. Save up and go bigger.

Yeah, you're better off buying what you can with platinum and saving those shards for the biggest one.
