Our release date for Fables of the Feywild has been adjusted slightly, and is now set for release on Thursday, November 5th, instead of tomorrow. We'll have more information about our downtime, release notes, and more on Wednesday.

At a guess I would imagine there will be no restart at such since the downtime for the expansion will probably(?) be quite long anyway so they might do it during that time but I can't see it happening.

Guys, that postponing means only 1 thing: the expansion is not ready and is rushed. I'm tired of content that is - in fact - a beta version. In the coming days we will see many bugs, downtimes because of hotfixes etc. I don't like that policy. Maybe instead try polishing content, take your time to check if things work fine? I have seen both Lamannia releases and I can tell (based on what I have seen 1 week ago) that this content needs more work and I'm not at all surprised by this thread.

Correct, no restart tomorrow. Also, we are extending Night Revels by another day.

No matter what the devs do (of any game, not just DDO) they're going to lose -
Release when they said - it's full of bugs and gamers rant about bugs
Delay the release to fix the bugs- gamers rant about a delay
Release it EA/alpha/beta to help find bugs- gamers rant about not having a finished game

Eh, it makes the mental gymnastics necessary to pass on the expansion quite easy.

For instance, by the time U49 rolls around, it will be a polished- and complete- product with our satyr lord raid in place and ready to go, and as 13 quests is honestly a little skimpy, I'll be quite happy to have the U49 pack roll out at the same time, making the end result something far closer to the expansion I expect to receive. Sharn with Soul Splitter was a joy, and they knew what they were doing with the cheaper-than-normal Soul Splitter store price, as they were effectively bundling both packs to be purchasable with their 3XXX point bundle.

Sheesh man, I talked to someone in-game just two days ago who switched shifts with a co-worker just so he could have Wednesday to himself to play the expansion. Delaying at the last minute is kind of just rude if you ask me. One can only hope there's a critical bug they have found that they couldn't just release and apply a patch to the next day. I'd rather have an in-consequential bug released in the expansion Wednesday and then have the servers restart again a day later for a patch, than just delay the release.

I have a suspicion that the delay is because they think they shouldn't patch the game twice in two days, and I hope I'm wrong.

DDO is life for some, for others it fills the gaps in the day.
My addiction is bad but I won't set my life to revolve around a game. Swapping shifts?

Looking forward to the release. Any set time frame for DDO store availability since there are folks who still cannot buy it?

I fail to see the problem with that. I'd agree if you criticized someone for taking a day off because that's completely different, takes out of your vacation or sick days or whatever. What's wrong with swapping a shift though?

In truth, nothing. I have issue enough in my own life and should know better than to go looking for what might be issues in the the lives of of others.
I'll look to the plank in my own eye rather than worrying over the splinter in the eye of another. It was hypocritical, forgive me.
