This thread is to officially call for the abolishment of all coin currency except platinum.
Time for some real talk. Gold, silver and copper are pointless. Potions, wands, scrolls all use plat as the purchasing currency. Gear selling currency is plat. AH is plat. items that aren't plat are things like tavern fare but lets be honest, who uses that? very few people. most all of us if we die are going to be bound to the guild airship and will just hit the buff bar to regain HP and SP. so really tavern fare is as pointless as non plat currencies.
Realistically what needs to happen is a Platinum scaling effect. quests that drop gold, silver, and copper should drop small amounts of plat up through Gianthold where most plat starts dropping. GH plat drops need to scale upwards from the small amounts into larger amounts and increase with level up through the current cap of 30. even the system that converts gold into plat is messed up, sometimes i wind up with like 20-30 gold before it will switch over to plat. so SSG let's streamline the currency system!

Really?
With all the little bugs in the game you find this is what you need to complain about?
This does not really affect your game play.
If you are so poor that it actually does, tell me where I can mail you some plat so this is not an issue.

I could understand if you had to exchange copper for silver, silver for gold, gold for plat manually, but since whole system is automated - who cares? Yeah, everything below plat is worthless nowadays and even plat is not worth much, but the fact that we've got copper/silver/gold does not affect game in any way. It's just something you dont look at and dont care about. After title i thought this is going to be "make plat worth something again" thread, but... just disappointment.

That made me smile. :)
...but then, I still stop to pick up the little blops of Copper from breakables.
(Ain't poor, it's just an OCD thing. I even take the skittles from chests, so... *hoarder!*)

Topic: Respectfully, not-signed. That change would touch nearly every system in the game, and when ya go poking things that aren't really broke - why risk breaking em?

This is easier to complain about than say all the issues with warlock spells being cast and timers going off but having the spell not affect mobs, or the fact that Cone shape doesnt hit some mobs when point blank. starting a thread on the abolition of currency gets more people riled up (Insert evil cackle here)
