Hello everybody,

I've decided this is the season to try my hand at the 5K favor reward (I'm so jealous of all of the celestial horses on our guild ship, Well Done Everybody).
I have been looking at all of the subjects on the matter and compiled a list of what i hope is the Raids/Quests i need to avoid to give me the best chance of achieving this goal.

If anybody has the time to take a quick look and let me know if i have missed any quests i really need to skip (Even though my join date is 2010, I've mainly been playing permadeath, so after lvl 9ish all the quests are quite new to me (about lvl 9 is were i usually die lol)) I would really appreciate it.

You are planning on skipping all those?

Legendary raids, sure...

But you'll find a group for heroic Tempest Spine and Vault of Night, no problem.

If you're lucky you'll find a group doing heroic Demon Queen raid too... (Just make sure you have some ranged characters along)

A lot of the quests you listed are not that bad. The main thing is to use a very sturdy build. If melee, definitely get two barbarian levels for blood tribute, and I highly recommend a bear build.

Or go ranged or warlock and kill things from a distance.

Even if you're scared of many of those quests, don't skip them.... Do them on hard at least.

So far (I just turned level 18), I've skipped TOEE part 2, Devil Assault and the Titan quest/raid. I did Price of Freedom on hard, and Slavers part 3 on hard. I also missed out on some challenges.

Through level 17 (doing all the 1-13 quests), I amassed close to 3200 favor. I figure the level 14 quests will get me over 3500.

When I hit 19, I'll be doing all the easier 15-19 quests first, and see where I stand.

Definitely group whenever possible. Have a solid build with good self-healing and hopefully a ton of hit points.

All that thrudh said - and to highlight - do quests on hard, no shame. Miles easier than elite. Stealthy repo, for example. It's better than zero favor.

Also, don't be afraid to run a quest on casual if you haven't run it in a while or aren't that familiar. I did a few quests on casual, normal, elite - just to make sure I knew the quest well before I ran it.

If you're tentative at all, don't run it on elite.

I'm not sure as to whether you plan on purchasing Tomes or want to benefit from being in a Guild with plenty of Airship Amenities, etc.

The quest: Stealthy Repossession isn't difficult to solo, and about the only risk to your HP, are the Shamans managing to cast 'Hold Person' on Elite. Or maybe Dungeon Alert if you do not reduce some of the mobs, if you followed the: mindlessly just race to the end tactic.

Proof is in the Poison, Freshen the Air, Taming the Flames and several others are very easy on Normal, to Solo but can get hairy on Elite - depending on Class, etc. A lot of the lower end quests aren't overly difficult to solo on Hard. On Normal you won't even get Champions, which helps tonnes regarding reducing the risk of damage spikes - if you meet a bad Champ combinations. In the Demon's Den; should be fine on Normal and doesn't require simultaneous kills.

Assuming you are mostly grouping; it will be even easier, as long as you don't get clowns in your group. I've just been Soloing on my generic Level 12 melee; not in a Guild, no Tomes or Store purchases, and I haven't had any problems, or major risk of death with; Hard setting. I'm not bothered about gaining any rewards or achievements as I'm a casual player, so if I hit Level 20 or 1750 Favour that's just a extra bonus.

This is an excellent point.
