How does Drow Spell Resistance work these days? I have not played a Drow in almost a decade. What I remember is that they got a spell resistance equal to 10 + character level (so 11 SR at level 1 and 30 SR at level 20). I just looked at the Drow Race on the DDO Wiki and all I see is that Drow get SR 6. Is that it? They start with 6 SR at level 1 and still only have 6 SR at level 20? I see you can get +2 SR three times in the core stats (so a total of an addition 6 SR if you spend 7 points in the racial core), but that would still only be 12 SR at level 20 (which is such a uselessly low number that it would never take effect).
Am I missing something? Is there more than just this 12 Spell Resistance? If there is only this 12, does it at least stack with items (so an item that gives SR 29 would result in 41 SR if you took the full +12 SR from being a drow)?

It now stacks with items; before it was completely useless if you had a SR item.
It is still mostly useless, due to the way monster CR (and caster level) is usually much higher than character level; and that most SR spells have other defences (Deathward, Freedom of Movement, etc).

It used to be useful all by itself. Now it's useless unless you also have some other SR source, like giving up a gear slot.

unfortunately, SR on most gear is woefully inadequate due to the new effect scaling on random loot, so you'll need to combine regular plus insightful SR, or look for specific named items that aren't subject to the scaling - phiarlan mirror cloak & chimera's crown combined with the racial SR will actually still be decently reliable, particularly good at low levels for monks who might need to be wary of enfeebling ray making them uncentered. In the higher levels it's possible to get SR to the point where it's got some good utility too, but you need to build for it.

This. before it was useful in leveling and meh in cap. Now it is completely useless to me at any level. I would have preferred that they did not change the SR, for me they did not improve it, they worsened it.
