I am playing a level 20 Paladin currently. I was using a drow great axe leveling through epics and I am in the divine crusader ED. Every time I killed a mob using exalted smite I would put stacks of purification on my party. It did not happen if I killed mobs using any other attack, just exalted smite from the KOTC tree.
I have hit level 29 and 30 since testing this and swapped to legendary echo of blackrazor. DPS is high enough that it is harder to test the exalted smite kill to see if it also is giving stacks of purification.
