In Need Of Some Build Help

Took on a new "project" recently. I took my very first DDO character off the shelf and thought he might be my best choice at TR-ing into an Alchemist. So, I have this first life cleric who hadn't seen the light of day in roughly 6 years. However, back in the day, I was pretty decent at healing parties and would heal in raids like Shroud for example.

This cleric is a first life nightmare in the current DDO landscape though. I never even bothered to TR him when the domains were released. I did manage to get him to 30 (which isn't too difficult as parties still appreciate healing at times).

What's the project? Well, even after all of these years, he had the most favor of any of my toons since he had done so many elite runs back in the day healing folks. He had about 3300. I thought, shoot, the Hard Core folks get to 5k in no time so I am going to try this. I figured I was at an advantage as nothing modern has been run. Sure enough, I am now sitting at 4300.

The problem is that it's getting to the upper teens (and above) on quests that I really have a harder time soloing. I don't do squat for damage. I do shoot out Sun Bolts and Searing Lights, but that is pokey. I can throw down a Blade Barrier as well. It just doesn't seem quite good enough.

I am hoping someone could direct me to a good build to get me to 5000 favor. I'm guessing some sort of melee build, but I don't have a clue for clerics these days. There are also so many domains to choose from!

If you're that high level, just join groups and semi-pike along in the back. A decent healer is always appreciated, your DPS will add to the party without grabbing you any aggro headaches, and you can save your Hearts of Wood for when you really need them.

Don't forget to finish some of the Epic Sagas for a shot at a decent +3 skill tome.

Thanks C-Dog! This is mostly what I did to get to 4300 favor from 3300. Getting the last several hundred is more dicey since no one would look for a level 30 for weirdly one-off quests. I am still on the lookout though!
