Any way of seeing xp tome status these days?

I'm pretty sure I've got a heroic tome of xp running on 1 of my guys. I've narrowed it down to 2 characters.

Any way to tell who?

I don't think there is a way to tell by just logging on the character who has it, since they are in epic levels. If you were to TR them you could look on the character sheet next to the xp bar here and it would display a little tome icon on the right side, which you should be able to mouse over to determine whether it is a normal or greater tome of learning. I don't know if this will still display in epics if you DON'T have an epic tome of learning, but I know it will not display if you do have one as the heroic tome icon is replaced with the epic tome icon upon hitting 20.

If you don't want to TR the character then the only way I can think of is to attempt to use a heroic tome of learning, as this should give you a message if the character already has one warning you that it will have no effect or be overridden (you can move the character to disrupt its use if it doesn't give you a message and just starts using it, which should also indicate that character is not the one with the tome).

I don't know if it will display this message if you have a normal tome on the character and attempt to use a greater tome, and if you don't already have a tome from somewhere to test with and you don't want to buy a tome, TRing to check their heroic character sheet is unfortunately the only way I know of.

***I said should a lot instead of would or does because I have not actually tested with these kinds of tomes whether a warning message is displayed, but I assume so because I have tested with stat tomes. I can verify however that moving while reading the tome disrupts its use and allows you to keep it.

I think I figured it out.

When browsing the DDO store I can't see any Heroic Tome of Learning on one of my guys so I think that guy is that tome eater.

That was going to be my response - items like this won't show up on the store for characters that already have one, or it will pop with a warning that it would be a bad idea to get this item (like if you have a +5 stat tome and browse a +4, it will tell you that you already have better).
