Hi new player here. I started a Druid and I am not sure how to go: I want to be a bear and Shapeshift. I cannot yet. Is that because I am only level 1 ? I am in kothos village. I can summon wolves though. I played lotro and wow for years . I am an experienced mmo player but this game is totally different.

Did I make my Druid wrong!? Or will I be able to be a bear when I level more?

At level 2 you can take Bear form as a Wild Shape option when you take level 2 at the Druid (https://ddowiki.com/page/Druid) trainer :)

Hi welcome to DDO. You're in luck: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/513495-Ursine-Cub-Bear-Druids-for-New-Players-(U45)

Druids get their first Wild Shape feat at level 2 and get a new one every 3 or 4 levels afterwards. So I can't say if you made any mistakes with your build, but you aren't missing out on bear form yet. :)

Remember if you want to take advantage of a Strikethrough enhancement from a racial tree (Human, Half Orc) you have to take the *Two Handed Fighting* feat (Thus unlocking the enhancement) to gain benefit.

In DDO you can really mess up a build if you don't know what you are doing. I recommend you search the forums for a bear build and follow that instead of making it up yourself.

And welcome to the game. It's massive and you can spend years playing it. I've been playing since it came out and still consider myself a noob - hence my name.

It's a really good game, people are generally nice and the developers usually listen to the community.

Don't feel ashamed to put up a lfm and type in "new player need guide". from what i experienced people will help.
