There hasn't been a quest pack on sale for all this month - oddly enough. But I'd bet that soon after this "full access" month is over, something is going to go on Sale.

What pack will you miss access to most? What pack would you wish you could add to your stable?

It's taken me a while, but I have most of them. Last one I bought was Masterminds of Sharn (at 1,295 DP!), and at the time it was a coin toss between that and Mists of Ravenloft (same price). And while I love 'Sharn, MoR is just as lush! The artwork, the storylines - that's the next one for me.

For some of the older ones, 3BC would probably be toward the top of the list, along with the "core" of Vault of Night, Gianthold and Vale of Twilight. Despite most (but not all!) of the loot being "older" in 3BC, the XP, LFG's and (for me) general "fun" factor is top of the charts.

So - now that you've seen and played the field, what are new on your "must have" list?

The question isnt for me since im vip always but...

If i had to choose one pack of all there is i had chosen ravenloft. One of few packs that has it all. Storyline, artwork, xp, loot, fun quests (+voice in monster in the cellar quest nothing beats that in my book). They nailed that pack totally 10/10.

Second is shroud but that is pure nostalgica since my era of 15+ alts that ran that only for like a few years at cap 16. (But i love that raid still)

I hope so - but the little cynical voice in my head says they're going to wait at least a month so that people pay full price wanting "that" quest pack back, when the taste is fresh and the addicts are hungry. And then the sales will start, once SSG has extracted what they can from the whales and goes back to the sales.

Probably Slave Lords or Sharn.

Slave Lords is a source of extremely special gear, solid XP, and dungeons long enough to arrive 3 minutes late without the zergers having completed it, without being hour-long jump-slogs like The Pit. Bit low on favor, but hey, you can't have everything.
Sharn has good gear and favor, many quests, endgame content, but is extremely TP-expensive.
Whichever goes on sale first, I'm definitely getting.

I considered Threnal, but in the end, I don't want that much to go back now that I have the Master's Gift. Threnal's level range is silly, escort quests, messy flagging.

As the timer ticks down (again - 10 days to go!), I was reminded of this thread. And while my main account has most all the quests, my opener account does not, so I've been enjoying some "new" quests with them, some that I haven't run w/ my high-Epic main character in a while (fairly casual player, I don't TR zerg - tho' I might give that a try sometime soon).

In no particular order...

o Restless Isles - despite the tough Raids, the two flagging quests are fun, and the loot still very handy. Teleportation goggles, a ring of Raise Dead - yes, please, tyvm. Also part of Falconry favor.

o Slavers - great crafting at-level. And unlike ransacking chests for named items, the materials are guaranteed with enough runs.

o 3BC - did some of the "side" quests (Scoundrel's, Guard Duty) - fun stuff on top of the standards. Also half of the lowest level Saga in the game (along w/ Sentinals of Stormreach) for anyone trying to boost their Guild level, and for +3 skill tomes for Epic characters.

o Ravenloft and Masterminds of Sharn - go without saying, but I'll say it anyway.

o Delera's - the ML 20 Epic Voice (https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Epic_Voice_of_the_Master) is a nice thing, esp the +3 Luck bonus for Trappers, and everyone can use +30% movement.

You haven't been able to buy a pack during this special. I suppose to avoid complaints that customers purchased packs when they didn't need to.

I expect some sales.

I am currently about 18 months behind on quest packs. If I stick around and if points go on sale and if quest packs go on sale my priority will be...

The Keep on the Borderlands: This is my favorite quest pack in a very long time. It completely replaces Korthos. Yay! It includes horses. Yay! It provides solid L21 equipment. Yay! It provides excellent L20 weapons including force and devotion caster sticks. Yay! It includes an epic version at L21, cutting down on epic quest burnout. Yay! It makes collecting Heart Seeds super easy. Yay! None of the quests annoy me. Yay! I actually enjoyed the wilderness area. Yay! It includes goblins and a dromaeosaurid. YAY!

The Mists of Ravenloft: This expansion includes very well crafted, atmospheric quests, a fantastic wilderness area, and very good equipment but I never bought it because I never adventure at L10 or L30. After playing Ravenloft again during the free trial I realized that was a mistake. If I stick around, Ravenloft will become part of my routine.

White Plume Mountain: I always intended to pick this up on sale but then I left DDO. I have yet to play it.

My list ends there. So far, I really dislike all Sharn related quests to the point I keep quitting them midway and switching to other games.

None, I bought the packs I liked already. I just used this free time for packs I didn't like enough to buy.

TBH I havent run that many quests I dont own. I tried out a few I'd heard about, mainly Grim/Tavern Brawl and WPM. I liked them, I'll probably snag WPM after the month is over. But it just wasnt worth it for me learning new quests when I only had (what I thought was) a month of access to it. If I'd known it was 2 months all along, then I might've explored more.

I'll tell you what I'm not getting anytime soon, though - Dragonborn Prophecy. Black and Blue is one of the most un-fun quests, and Newcomers isnt much better. Those maps are just FAR too huge, too much running around. Way too long.

I should really check out Soul Splitter sometime this week though. I just hate that all the loot is L17, which makes it kinda pointless for HTRs and not as convenient for ITRs, wish they'd kept it L15 to match the other Sharn stuff.

The only ones I don't have are Borderlands, Sharn Docks, and Lost Gatekeepers.

Borderlands quests are short & simplistic, and are low-level and/or low-Epic-level, where I really don't care about the loot or XP.
Several of the Sharn Docks quests are kind of annoying, especially the one where you have to find the 4 crests, and the one that's been broken most of the time.

So, by default, Lost Gatekeepers. They are also short & simplistic, but they have decent Legendary loot & RXP.

Believe it or not but Shadowfell conspiracy.

Never bought it cos of all the negative reviews. Loot is obsolete. But quests are fun and xp is good.
Price is still steep though. Probably wait for a black friday sale again.

The pack with Grim and Barret - it gives good xp daily quests for ETR rotation.

Borderlands - i dont need to explain. This pack is solid must have for newbie and vet alike

I already have sharn and ravenloft. I love ravenloft. I dont like sharn but it has good loot and gives a lot of exp.

1 Ravenloft, this is on my must have list now for all the great level 10 loot, good adventures and xp.
2 Sharn, so much good gear for level 15, decent adventures and xp.
3 TBC, this needs a sale, everyone should have it.
4 Keep on the borderlands, this is a great pack all around plus horses.
5 Devil assault, everyone should have this, needs a sale.
6 VoN, the xp is just too good in VoN3 at level 10ish and early epic.
7 Druids deep, also nice xp for early epic
8 The Lost Gatekeepers, nice trinkets and minor artifacts
9 White Plume Mountain and Other Tales, fun quests and decent loot and xp
10 The Devil's Gambit, 4 solid quests
11 Demon sands, nice xp
12 Ruins of Gianthold, it fills a gap that no other pack really does, need more mid level epic quests with decent loot

note: already own slave lords, necropolis 1-4, archons, vale, path of inspiration

Borderlands

Others I don't own (newer packs) I did not like.
The newest is ok but it is level 3 so no need for the xp and the loot does not serve for long.
