View Full Version : Search the Soul no choice

Recently I used a Heroic Heart of Blood on my Warforged Barb. Bringing him back to life as a Bladeforged Pally. I wanted to use "Search The Soul" to pick another deity, but when I spoke with Fred about it, the only choice was Bladeesworn Transformation. It is my understanding that Bladesworn Transformation is the benefit gained at level 6 from being a "Follower of The Lord of Blades" which is a level 1 feat automatically granted for Bladeforged Pally. I am now wondering if that feat is needed in order to epic reincarnate and then choose another deity? If that is not the case, does anyone know what the pre-requisite for this feat is? It would make a huge difference the direction I want my build to go and I cannot find the info anywhere.

This is me, talking to Fred, trying to swap "Search Soul" for something besides "Bladesworn Transformation" it is the only choice.

Bladeforged can only worship the Lord of Blades, sorry.

That was also my understanding. However, after I origionally did an iconic res and changed races from WF to BF, the feat became available upon using a +1 epic heart to switch my starting class from Pally to Rouge. Origionally, it was simply for the skill points and evasion/sneak attack. I was suprised that the feat was even a choice upon character creation. If all Bladeforged must be sworn to Lord of Blades, then why did this feat become available at all? Just felt like I may have stumbled across something intresting. True, it probably shouldn't be available to Bladeforged, nor the Iconic FR clerics.
