Iconic and character transfer

If you have an iconic character who is under 15 at the end of the HCL (wether through death or out of time) and you transfer them to a normal server, do they stay as they are or do they instantly earn enough XP to reach 15 as normal?

Anyone know?

They retain their existing XP (no bump to 15). They do get their gear at 15.

If you used a lesser TR after the transfer, would that potentially trigger the automatic xp that Iconics normally get? I haven't tried it but has anyone else? Also, if you transfer over a 28 point build to your home server and use a lesser TR, that makes it a 32 point build if you have it unlocked.

That's why I am curious about the Iconic question.
