Is Cannith Crafting a thing on hardcore?

Hi all,

I was thinking, does anybody actually do cannith crafting on hardcore. I mean, for the price of the AH weapons, you might as well turn your loot into essences and build up to lev 100 by using a 35% boost (for like 80 points). Once you get to lev 100, you can just buy cheap gear, destroy it, and craft most shards. I guess it would requires farming the collectables. hmmm. Now that I am typing this, that seems like a PITA.

Anyway, anybody been successful at doing this?

Of course.

Grinding up a crafter takes less than an evening. That investment then turns into the solution for all the gear tetris in your future, and gear that will help you farm the Named Items you want/need. It's not for everyone, but it's very doable.

Or... you can ransack chests looking for Named Items while under-geared with weak droploot, and keep your fingers crossed. How's that working out for you? :cool:

Good stuff! Glad I am not the only one! I love crafting on my main. on hardcore, I am up to lev 68 on a lev 7 toon. I just need to farm loot and turn into essences. I think certain types of items provide more essences than others.

Dont forget to use the crafting tutorial for boosts (BTA) to save on essences which are indeed the limiting factor. I haven't gotten far with my crafter yet but it seems doable.

How are you getting the essences to level up to 250 in an evening?

Remember to do your crafting leveling on an alt that won’t go into quests. No sense in risking your crafting main.

yes they do and so do I

for at a minimum, good feather fall ring, underwater action, wizardly bonuses, LIGHTNING resistance ...cough cough
and so on.

some make ammo

other do even more complicated stuff
when the league is done, you can drag all that stuff to your next server.
might take a couple of 'mule' toons but easy enough
