Need some Scroll Storage Ruthlessness Tips

Howdy, been gathering these religiously and i'm seeing arcane glyphs in my alt's eyeballs - would it be practical to not worry about mid-level scrolls? And only keep say wiz-level 11 up or something? That'd leave me needing storage for 11, 13, 15 & 17 - i might just manage it. Darned if i know when i'll even get around to playing a wizard (tho i have a level 5 alt, he with the glyph problem :P) Or do ppl just roll another mule? Making mules is a bit wearisome.

Don't worry about them.
When you create a Wizard (or Artificer, or Alchemist), buy all the scrolls that are available for plat and scribe them.
Then you just have the rare spells to pick while levelling up.

Maybe keep some high-level scrolls (15/17) as they aren't in the shops and you won't get enough free spells to get them all.

If they are not rare scrolls (https://ddowiki.com/page/The_Rare_Arcane_Scroll_List), don't bother keeping them, just vendor them.

The only scrolls to keep are ones that are not vendor-sold, that are useful to have. Dimension Door, Mass Heal, Power Word: Kill...things that don't need spellpower or DCs to be effective.

I would buy account based bank space expansion. (I also wish there was scroll cases similar with the quivers)

The scrolls and wands you should keep for all times are


* The spells that are used to buff yourself, heal your self. (best paired with potions and while jumping...Yeah Ddo laws of physics)

* The spells that has

- no spell penetration check,

- aoe for making time and alertness (clouds and lower level summons; especially rat and bat...Additionally Roderick's wand from Phiarlan quests)

- adding confusion,

- does not have heavy damage penalties when the said spell is saved by the npcs.

Create a Guild Airship for added storage.

I keep the rare scrolls in the guild chest, people don't make wizards often enough to deplete them all/

Lots of good advice, thanks! The 'rare' thing starts a tad too early for my liking - there are 46, and that's just arcane. I shall look for a list of little-used-spells as someone suggested to winnow it more, but i guess there's be a tonne of argument over that one (and changes over the years).

Because you can mail scrolls, you can create a new F2P account and make a scroll holder character that you mail all your scrolls to. Mail them a little plat so they can mail the scrolls back when you make a wizard/artificer/whatever. Just don't forget that login/password and lose all your saved scrolls like I did.

Keep the DDoor scrolls in your shared bank so you can grab a couple whenever you are going to do a quest where you want to scroll that spell and don't want to/can't hire the level 11 Hireling Fighter that can cast DDoor.
