Flex it up here. I would take all the alchemist stuff after barb, wiz levels. I'd go T5 in barb trees or EK. Use PM to self heal get extra zombie damage and enjoy barb massive damage.

THF your way to 20 or 30 and forget the terrible alchemist trees.

Why not embrace the Simple Weapon lifestyle? 12 Alch (heals, utility), 6 Rogue (t5 TA), 2 Monk. Should have a good amount of dodge and PRR when running Orchidium. Str or Dex would work fine

Edit: Oops, looks like Vile Chemist doesn't support quarterstaves :(

Okay, my attempt at melee Alchemist:
16 alchemist (for heal pot and bonus feat), 3 bard (swashbuckling), 1 FvS (divine might)
Go SWF dagger; 41 VKF, 11 ap in Swashbuckler for Dashing Scoundrel (probably better than Arcane Marauder), 3-4 ap into Warsoul for DM, rest into Vile Chemist.

Where are you seeing that vile chem doesn't support qstaves? I tried one out on lamannia during the previews and it worked just fine, and I'm not seeing anything specifically stating quarterstaves as an exception anywhere it lists simple weapons, which quarterstaves are a part of.

It sorta supports quarterstaves, but the Deadly Poison line and Fatal poison say "While holding a Simple Weapon in your Main Hand and a Simple Weapon, Orb, Rune Arm, or nothing in your off hand...". I haven't tested it, but the wording implies SWF or TWF

Edit: Tested it tonight on an iconic - each enhancement in Deadly Poison, as well as Fatal Poison, works just fine. 18 / 2 Rogue is back on the table!

If wanna stick build do 5 rogue instead of barb, that might even be superior.
