i recently let my VIP lapse. i had bought a bunch of shared storage and now its gone.
I submit tickets and they never answer while i'm online...then the moment i log off they seem to close the ticket saying i need to be online. Now i'm a week into my original ticket.
i know i'm not a VIP but jeez i spent almost 200 bucks on this game this year with all the expansions and points. you'd think after a week you could make an effort to help me.
i was on for 8 freaking hours today and most evenings this week...i don't know how in all that time no one could message me to help.
anyone know how to get their attention or do they even check these tickets

It usually takes time. Anyhow with patience you can bump in to a good GM that aids you. I agree with your statements. I spent alot of cash in time aswell. (Old accounts and new account) VIP vs Premium deals...When long time Premium players can and most probably did spent alot more in time, is a heartbreaker.
Still, with patience and respect, good GMs respond, sooner or later. I wish you patience.

I've submitted 3-4 tickets over the last year and had resolution within 3-4 business days.
Difference is I'm giving my email and they are responding via email. Try that instead.

it should be withdraw only until you make the purchase. Here is an old note from a guide for converting VIP to premium
"
The Shared Bank:
Now I can’t speak for anyone, but I like my shared bank and one of the things I worried about was, if I was going to be able to keep it. In fact, thorough most of my discussions with anyone who is a VIP or has made the decision to make this conversion from Sampling to Owning, the Shared Bank has always come up as one of the most note worthy account options. Mainly. The biggest question that comes up when a player makes the decision to go from VIP to Premium is:Q: What will happen to my Shared Bank?
A: Your Shared Bank will not go away, you will still have access to it and everything in it. It will simply become “Withdraw only” So your loot and gear in the Shared Bank will be available to you.
Point of Note: If you, like me, had purchased additional Shared Bank Space, rest easy. This space will not go away, it will become "withdraw only" until you purchase the Shared Bank Option. Once the Shared Bank is purchased, the initial 20 slots will become open to you again, as well as any and all additional slots you may have purchased."

As far as I know the day your VIP turns off, the automated system puts your in game ticket access on the "when did they last buy a points bundle" system. You're still supposed to have access to the external technical support tickets, either way. If you bought a bundle of points very recently, or a big bundle in like the last year, you're supposed to still have in game support.
The cost of the points bundles and length of time they give support access for matches up with VIP cost, like $15 = 1 month, $30 = 3 months, $50 = 6 months, $100 = year, roughly. Sadly, I'm betting they don't accumulate and roll over to after your VIP support is gone.
