Hello and thanks for showing up.
It seems to me that this online version of Dungeons and Dragons has strayed from its original roots.
The original game has always been a social event in my experience. When we decided to get together to run a game it was an event. Often times everyone would bring some kind of snack or food, and we would end up playing the game well into the evening hours.
When I first came here back in '09 the game was oriented towards a party-based play style. It was possible to solo, but you were probably not going to solo anything on elite. Now the game has morphed into a weird version of itself.
Running in a party is rare it seems these days. It seems that all PUG's are reaper zergs. Nobody seems to want to actually play the game as it was originally intended.
Well, there is a new guild in town.
One that remembers the old ways.
A guild built specifically for Old School Dungeon and Dragons players.
Here are some of the things that we will try to focus on:
We prefer to run in a party, with voice chat.
We are not interested in zerging; unless doing a favor run.
Doing quests on reaper is not on our radar.
Epic level content is also not on our radar at this time.
Learning the game and playing as a team is our main goal.
If this sounds like the kind of play-style you would be interested in running; our guild (Old School Rejects) is on the Cannith Server. Send my main character (Syngallong) an in-game mail message mentioning this thread and I will get you in the guild.

Edit Mar 3, 2020:
I have had several (more than 6) guild recruitment sigils bounce back to me.
All new players need to realize that any mail from a stranger (not on friends list or same guild) will be in your unconfirmed mail tab.
When it bounces back to me I have no idea who it was sent to, so I can't resend the invite.
If you sent me a request and think I was ignoring you, I promise you that I wasn't.
I sent the invite, you just didn't realize it was in your unconfirmed tab.
If you are still interested in joining, please send Syngallong another request and keep an eye on your unconfirmed mail tab, or add Syngallong to your friends' list ;)
