Hi, I just bought both Shadowfell Conspiracy Collector's Edition, and Menace of the Underdark Standard edition. I made the purchase on DDO Market, and retrieved the code from the game start screen. I didn't have any character selected when I entered the DDO Store to redeem the code. I got a message saying items would be delivered to one of my characters. As you can probably guess that was a character created just to see some stuff, I never played it and never will, it was just a Test character to be deleted in a few hours.

Now I have a Greater Tome of Learning in my shared bank. No problem there, but I have a " The Shadowfell Conspiracy: Collector's Edition Claim Ticket" bound to a character that I will never use. I don't actually understand what it is.
It seems it will give me an Epic version of the same Tome if I double click it. If I do, will I be able to put the tome in my shared bank to retrieve it with another character? Do I need to contact support? How?

Please tell me there is a way o fix that and transfer it to a character that I will actually play.
This seems so wrong.

Each of your characters will get a Claim Ticket.

Each of your characters will get a Claim Ticket.

So the Greater Tome of Learning I already put into my shared bank is the Epic one, and if I double click the claim ticket I will get another tome?

The ticket will give you a skill tome. Or three skill tomes, an XP tome, and some Owlbears if you chose the Legendary option.

"The FIRST character on your account using this receives a Greater Epic Tome of Learning. Each character on your account will get a +2 Skill Tome."

Is it that hard to understand my question? Am I not using the right words?

Can please someone clarify it to me. I don't know how to ask the question better than I already did.

I got two things: A tome and a ticket. Put the tome in the bank since I wont be playing that character. The ticket is still with me ( I noticed all my characters got it, so?). How do I proceed to not loose the Greater Epic Tome of Learning that I only get by the FIRST character using it, since I want to delete that character.

Will the ticket disappear from all characters once I use it by the first time? If that is true why I have a Greater Tome of Learning that came with it on my bank? Is it Greater Epic Tome of Learning = Greater Tome of Learning? Is the Greater Tome of Learning the one that I only get once?

Edit: NVM. I am not sure I am understanding exactly. Maybe someone else can give it a shot.

I just want to point out:

- I have no intention to be rude.
- I think a big part of the problem is that people got used to not use the proper names. I used all names as they appear in my screen. I took the care to copy exactly what was the name of each product version that I was referring to. One Word changes a lot in any communication.
- I am no native English speaker. Although I am pretty confident of my skills to express myself, since people usually answer me something else, and/or shows to not had carefully read what I carefully wrote, I honestly and good hearted consider that maybe I am not able to express myself in the usual and correct way that native speakers would. So I am honest when I say that, not really trying to be rude.

Well unless they have changed it the tomes are BTC NOT BTA. This ("The FIRST character on your account using this receives a Greater Epic Tome of Learning) used to mean that the 1st char that opens it gets it so I would make sure that you only use it on the toon you want it on. I seem to also remember that once it had been obtained all the other toons would then get a Lesser version (You get a claim ticket on EVERY Char but only 1 Greater tome)

Dude, I am asking for help.

I already said I redeemed the code on game STARTER screen and it ALREADY went to a character. Yes It went to a character without I log in into that character. Let's call him John. On Start screen I went to DDO Store and redeemed the code. On my Screen a window popped up saying items would be delivered to John. John was the last character I logged with before all that. John is not a real character, just a test character created to see stuff.

I am not asking for someone to translate for me. I can understand English.

So I logged in again with John, after the message to check if I got screwd or not.

I am positive, no douts, that it was 2 items in my Inventory. Two items, not 3, 4 or 1. Two Items.

Item 1 name as it appears on my screen: The Shadowfell Conspiracy: Collector's Edition Claim Ticket
Item 2 name as it appears on my screen: Greater Tome of Learning

Description of Item 1: The FIRST character on your account using this receives a Greater Epic Tome of Learning. Each character on your account will get a +2 Skill Tome.

So I tried to put both items on my shared bank, since I will never play with John.

I succeeded in putting item 2 in my shared bank. That means I can retrieve it with any character I want.
I could not put item 1 in the shared bank. It is bound to character. I do have the same item on all my characters.

What we know is true:
All characters will get a +2 Skill tome.
Only one character will get Greater Epic Tome of Learning.

Tell me which item, 1 or 2 is the Greater Epic Tome of Learning.

If you say it's item 2 (already on my bank), than Greater Epic Tome of Learning = Greater Tome of Learning.

I dont have an EPIC tome....only a Tome. Is it why DDO Store Devs are lazy? Or is it because the EPIC one will appear on my inventory after I double click? I wont double click because I wont play Jonh. I did not picked Jonh to receive the items, It was automatic and I could not know it would happen.

If they just forgot a word, than everything is good. I can take the tome with other char and a +2 Skill tome will appear for each char whenever I double click item 1. If not I am missing the +2 Skill tome and the EPIC tome will appear when I double click, which wouldn't be fair, since I never choose John to receive it.

Is it clear now?

Thanks for the help.

Not english here and not sure what's so hard to understand, you got greater tome which is shown as menqce of the underdark standard edition item

And for shadowfall it says 1st toon per server to claim, so log in the toon you want to retain stuff and just use it, maybe the stuff is even bound to account lol

You can also create a toon in another server to try if you're understanding it properly, just in case create iconics and outside of starter paths

And maybe dude isn't proper to use on girls, dunno cause idc lol

That makes sense.

It seems that you got it. I am just cautious trying to not loose the tome.

Just created a new toons in another server and both items are there.

Probably the ticket will disappear once I claim it. I think it's strange that every char gets it until I do. Still, seems like you are right. I will wait a little bit before I claim it because I am cautious, and maybe someone that already did the same will show up to easy my mind.

Thanks, mate.

Dude, I am asking for help.

The issue isn't that people are not trying to help you. The issue is that you're not understanding what people, the in-game items, and the market descriptions are telling you.

You made two purchases: Menace of the Underdark™ Standard Edition and Shadowfell Conspiracy™ Collector's Edition.

Menace of the Underdark™ Standard Edition grants 1 free Greater Tome of Learning per DDO game world. This item boosts HEROIC XP. It is delivered to the first character that you login to on that world after claiming the code. This item is bound to account, so it doesn't matter which character you login to because it is BTA so you can pass it to the character you want to use it on through your shared bank.

Shadowfell Conspiracy™ Collector's Edition grants 1 free Greater Tome of Epic Learning per DDO game world. This item boosts EPIC XP. I don't remember if this time is delivered upon login or when you open the claim ticket. Either way it is BTA so you can pass it. The collector's edition also grants 1 +2 Skill Tome PER character, which is delivered via the claim ticket. It doesn't matter which character you use the ticket on because the skill tome is bound to character and each character, current or future, will receive the ticket.

In summary, the tomes of learning are bound to account, pass them to whichever character you want to use them on. The skill tome is delivered via the claim ticket and every character, current or future, will receive it. If you're concerned that you'll get something out of the claim ticket on a character you don't want it on simply log over to the character you do want the items on and claim the ticket on that character first.

Ok, thanks for the clarification.

One thing though, I didn't get 2 tomes and a ticket. I got only 1 tome and a ticket. I think I figured it out.

The tome I got is from the MoU.

The other Tome is inside the ticket, along with the skill tome. When I double click it it says I will bound things to that char that I wont be able to transfer. Probably the skill tome.

For me its very strange that every char gets the ticket which delivers both items and not only one. Out of caution I thought it was best to ask before do something I could regret.

I never said people were not trying to help me, but people were proposing situations that I had already excluded or explained. No problem, misinterpretation, happens all the time.

The reason Why I didn't opened it with the char that I want to get is simple explained: I don't know which one. I do know it automatically picked one for me without my consent, which originated all this doubt.

Anyway, I think it's clear enough now.

Thank you all.
