There are a lot of possibilities for hardcore rewards, and frankly the more people talk about the possibilities for such the more there is to desire!
Personally I am more for the spooky variety of rewards due to the lingering fear of death that hovers constantly over you in hardcore mode!
Poll is multiple choice!
Skeletal horse mount
Bloody mist aura
Face Of The Lich (A cosmetic helmet with long flowing silver hair that makes your face look like a skull)
Armor Of The Skeletal Knight (A cosmetic armor that makes you look like a skeleton underneath your armor)
Bloody Mist weapon aura
Nightmare Horse Mount
Universal permanent weapon enchant item: Vampirism (Just cannith crafting grade vampirism, 1d2 if below level 10, can go onto any weapon whether crafted, named or whatever but can not go onto an item that already has a form of vampirism)
Evard's Cloak Of Horrors (An animated cosmetic cloak that looks like it is made from Evard's black tentacles)
Touched By Undeath Feat Access (Can heal through negative energy regardless of class if you take this feat, the downside is you forsake positive healing (Excellent for those who want a challenging playstyle or just want to heal through negative energy for whatever reason))

Other, make sure to comment with the thing you want!

I'd be happy with any cosmetic they deem appropriate.
Last one they did Eyes and Cloaks
It seems to me that may still be an option maybe with "II"
Maybe a facial tattoo.
I do feel anything outside a cosmetic would simply be asking for trouble.

I would like some Sovereign Goggles of Doom.
Basically when I auto-target anything, it triggers a massive AoE effect with a no-save insta-death effect (applies to undead too) for anything in that range. 0.5s cooldown.
I figure this is really just a convenience item that will save me from farming a bunch of PLs, gear, and RXP.
Oh yeah, I also think this should be a personalized reward just for me, and you guys get your skeletal horses or whatever.
All this to (hopefully) make you smile and say that I care a lot more that the play experience is great, more than whatever reward is given out.

Placeholder 10 and 14 look good, but I can't support placeholder 11, 12, or 13.
In all seriousness, I think any of these would be cool except for the Vampirism one. A Vampire cosmetic effect is neat, but I don't want any in-game effects aside from cosmetics to come out of the HC league. That's a path to madness.

For the most part: <3
But really, the vampirism imbue would provide a reason to stop putting vampirism on items without any valid complaints being possible. Sure maybe this effect should be something you can earn via night revels, but unless they make it cost like 75 of three different materials plus like 750 chocolates.... SSG is not making you work hard enough for it!

No, it's a path towards justifiably removing vampirism effects from future weapon designs, thus improving their dps through putting something dps related where the vampirism effect would otherwise go!
If someone would ever complain about a lack of vampirism items, a developer could always just tell them if they want such an effect, then they should play hardcore mode and earn it! If each character on each account gets the one copy of that weapon imbue each season it is earned, it would really make that argument a justified means of brushing someone off for desiring a vampiric weapon!

Adding more stacking power on top of existing power that doesn't take a gear slot is excessive. Adding stacking buffs from gear that doesn't take a slot on top of everything is almost always a bad idea because then there's one more thing for people to chase on top of all of their existing grind.
Doing it for something that requires VIP to access and requires a level of commitment that most players can't meet is a Bad Thing(tm).
I'm totally on board with SSG adding some kind of Vampire themed package that a player can use, but acquiring it through HC is terrible. It's a worse idea than bonus AP from triple Racial past lives.

For the most part, a valid argument........ though I'd argue that vampirism effects are not necessarily of power in nature!
I raise you my Heroes Of Shadow pack concept (5000 DDO points):
1-Vrylokian Weapon Enchantment: If a weapon has any form of vampirism on it, the type of vampirism is updated to the new version and based on the minimum level of the weapon it will gain constitution damage as well, if the weapon has a wounding effect a vampirism effect will be added based on the minimum level of the weapon (Insatiable Vampirism). Additionally if the weapon has a trap the soul effect and no vampirism effect it will receive a vampirism effect matching the minimum level of the weapon while the trap the soul effect will be upgraded to apply a cursespewing effect every time it fails to trap a soul because the enemy has made a save against such (Vrylokian Greed). If the weapon has no such effect, this enchantment can not be used on it!
Weapons get:
26+: Insatiable vampirism 4 (Vampirism 4+wounding 6)
20-25: Insatiable vampirism 3 (Vampirism 3+ Wounding 5)
15-19: Insatiable vampirism 2 (Vampirism 2+ wounding 4)
10-14: Insatiable vampirism 1 (Vampirism 2+ wounding 3)
7-9: Insatiable vampirism (Vampirism 1+ wounding 2)
Level 10-14 items with Trap The Soul will get:
Vrylokian Greed 1: This weapon stores an overwhelming, merciless power deep within. When this weapon is used, this power occasionally comes to the surface, sucking out the life force of an enemy and imprisoning the essence of their body and soul in a gem, if the enemy makes a save against this trap the soul effect the Cursespewing effect is applied! Cursespewing: On a natural 20 attack roll, this weapon lashes out with a vengeful curse that confers a -4 morale penalty on attack rolls, damage rolls, saving throws, and skill checks. This agonizing curse also causes the victim to take 1 to 6 damage every two seconds for a duration of twelve seconds. Additional vorpal strikes while the curse is still active will extend the duration by another twelve seconds. Additionally, this item will get a form of vampirism relevant to its minimum level if it does not currently have such, however it will not get the constitution damage bonus as well.
Level 15-25 items with Trap The Soul will get:
Vrylokian Greed 2: This weapon stores an overwhelming, merciless power deep within. When this weapon is used, this power occasionally comes to the surface, sucking out the life force of an enemy and imprisoning the essence of their body and soul in a gem, if the enemy makes a save against this trap the soul effect the Improved Cursespewing effect is applied! Improved Cursespewing: On a natural 20 attack roll, this weapon lashes out with a vengeful curse that confers a -4 morale penalty on attack rolls, damage rolls, saving throws, and skill checks. This agonizing curse also causes the victim to take 2 to 12 damage every two seconds for a duration of twelve seconds. Additional vorpal strikes while the curse is still active will extend the duration by another twelve seconds. Additionally, this item will get a form of vampirism relevant to its minimum level if it does not currently have such, however it will not get the constitution damage bonus as well.
Level 26+ items with Trap The Soul will get:
Vrylokian Greed 3: This weapon stores an overwhelming, merciless power deep within. When this weapon is used, this power occasionally comes to the surface, sucking out the life force of an enemy and imprisoning the essence of their body and soul in a gem, if the enemy makes a save against this trap the soul effect the Legendary Cursespewing effect is applied! Legendary Cursespewing: On a natural 20 attack roll, this weapon lashes out with a vengeful curse that confers a -10 morale penalty on attack rolls, damage rolls, saving throws, and skill checks. This agonizing curse also causes the victim to take 12d6 damage every two seconds for a duration of twelve seconds. Additional vorpal strikes while the curse is still active will extend the duration by another twelve seconds. Additionally, this item will get a form of vampirism relevant to its minimum level if it does not currently have such, however it will not get the constitution damage bonus as well.
Advisable weapons to use this enchantment on: Randomly generated weapons with vampirism, Epic Souleater, Epic Mirage, Cannith crafted weapons with vampirism or wounding effects, heroic greensteel weapons with the trap the soul effect, Soul's Sorrow, Soul Razor, Wave Of Despair, Wave Of Sorrow.... etc.

I agree. The Hardcore League should not affect game play on the regular servers at all. I would support all of these suggestions except the Touched By Undeath Feat Access as the rest are cosmetics or mounts.

I would like to have a Placeholder, please.
Placeholder sounds like a good deal as a future investment which seems, not to get old.
Be it a class or a universal tree.

How about they add the functionality that you no longer have to be standing still in order to gain stacks with Archer's Focus? Only for the top 10 in Hardcore League though, of course.

Any reward is fine as long as it is cosmetic in nature.
The special steeds mentioned as options would be my main choice for say 5k favor.
