No Gianthold quest?

I've been trying to complete all explorers in the game. I did all the heroic Gianthold explorers, and all the epic ones, too. I exited Gianthold the normal way (not using the farshifter) and I got the explorer/slayer quests before I began epic Gianthold explorers.

When I open my quest journal, Gianthold is grayed out and it shows 49/64 explorers done. There are twenty in heroic Gianthold and 29 in epic Gianthold; I have found them all.

Any idea what's going on? Why does it indicate I'm missing 15 explorers that don't exist, as far as I know.

Any help would be appreciated.

I did try that and no change. I'm really puzzled why it shows 64 combined explorers in Gianthold. There simply aren't that many.

It's a long standing display bug, I'm pretty sure it's been around since they introduced epic gianthold.

Go into either explorer, and see if the quest comes up for SERs. I had something similar happen once in the Red Fens, and it turned out that something in the backend of my character had glitched out. If it's not updating as you kill stuff, file a help ticket in game, if you can. That's what I had to do to clear it up.

Hill Giants can't do basic arithmetic, due to their low intelligence scores and the Cloud Giants were too busy to correct the error at the time Epic Gianthold came out.
Since then, the Hill Giant support team has regularly checked its calculations, confirming that 20 + 29 = 64. As noone else has raised the issue, it hasn't been corrected as noone realises anything is wrong.
Posting on the "Hey Lynnabel" thread might get someone with higher intelligence than a Hill Giant to look into the problem and implement a solution.

When you started doing Epic Gianthold - did you use the Narkonk to transport you to one of the three areas or did you enter through the main portal? I have noticed that the counts don't necessarily update if you have done a heroic area (Gianthold/Wheloon etc.) and then short cut into the wilderness area via an NPC.

It's a long-standing well-known bug. Been around since at least 2012 (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/422830-Gianthold-journals).

Just one of a bunch of well-known wilderness bugs: Underdark slayers cap out at "3100 of 9100". High Road rare encounters say "26 of 24". Certain rare encounters never ever spawn in multiple wilderness areas. And so on, there are others that have been posted about and/or bug-reported repeatedly over the years.
